LV Vernis Ludlow wallet Purple

Hi!

Does anyone know if the hardware for any of the purple vernis wallets were silver? I just purchased an LV ludlow on ebay and the snap is silver. Does anyone know if this was ever the case? All the snaps I've seen for other colored wallets (ie red, beige) have been gold. Also, does anyone know what the actual color is called.

Are you sure you didn't buy a monogram mat piece? Purple vernis should have gold hardware but if it's really old and worn the gold color will wear off.

The purple is called violette. Why don't you post pictures in the Authenticate this LV thread in the shopping sub-section of the forum. The experts there would be able to cinfirm for sure whether your item is authentic. But, to my knowledge all vernis SLG's have gold hardware.
