I did not know how to formulate the question the best?
I am watching to buy LV French Vernis wallet.
The colour is not stated and I carefully researched that the colour must be Rose Florentine.
The date code is apparently week 51 in 2009.
I looked into the Vernis colours reference and appparently the colour was released in 2010- not sure what week or month.
is it possible the wallet would have that datecode prior the colour reading later?
thank you

Date codes state when a piece was made, so if it's a first-batch item, expect the date code to be before the release date. How many months in advance, I'm not sure. That's something only manufacturing would know based on their records.

All my LE and day-of-release bags have date codes that state they were made several weeks to a couple of months before launch, which makes sense. LV doesn't churn out their bag quota the same week as release.

Thank you.
I don’t know the exact date of the colour to come out.
I went by the a Vernis colour chart reference here, it says that particular colour was released in 2010 and the date code accordingly to seller is MI 5019.
It makes sense what you said, especially if it was made in the end of December.
