Talk to me about the straws and pouch set! It seems to be gone from the site, but I'm thinking of looking for one second-hand. We go to Disneyland and Disney resorts often, and they have those horrid paper straws that fall apart after 2 sips. I'm thinking this would be a fun bougie item to throw in my bag and have handy during trips. Does anyone actually use these? Are they a pain? Do they tarnish at all? (I'm not sure what they're actually made of?)

The only thing I'm thinking that might be annoying is I'd have to keep them in a baggie or something once they've been used, and probably not put them back into the pouch until they've been thoroughly washed and dried, and am I really going to want to deal with that at the end of a long day...

These were made for Jeffree Star to film a few YouTube videos with (which he fortunately did), not for actual use. You're right, they need to be very carefully washed and dried before being put back. The product page has no info on materials, but most probably the same stainless steel + gold/silver mirror combo that they use on bag hardware too. So the gold ones might look like any gold LV hardware after a while. I believe they would need too much attention and care, and at the end of the day it would feel like going on a hike in mink slippers.

Oh, interesting history! I fear you are correct... they are probably not the most practical thing! I just pulled the trigger on a Neverfull since they went back on the site this afternoon, so I guess I shouldn't be spending $2K on straws anyway! LOL

But a Neverfull is always a good idea :)
