I’m currently based in Jakarta and thinking of purchasing 1-2 bags at LV for my birthday.
I would love to know your experiences or recommendations. I hope to make an appointment with the store in Plaza Indonesia (they have looked crazy busy this month).
And any knowledge of VAT would be great too, as I know prices are higher than U.S., thanks for any insight!
Yup, this month is where you should wait in queue to enter the store. Usually a sales associate (or anything it called, irdk) will immediately come to you and they will help you until you exit the store. But when the store is full, you maybe should wait for them to come, and looking around while you waiting. Ask anything you want, like how to take care of the material, or whats the difference between this leather and the other one (bcs they have several type of leather), or which design that fit for travel, pretty much anything! They will offer you drinks while you waiting for them to wrap your stuff.
For VAT, idk that much. I cant count it that detailed. Heres some of my experience for example. I bought my Palm Springs mm for idr 35m, in the website it said $2210 which is about 30m. I bought Vavin mm for about idr 44m, in the website it said $2950 which is abt 41m. For Mini Pochette Accessories i bought it for abt idr 4.5m, in the website it said abt idr 4.3m. Ive heard the vat is abt 15% but i think its not all the product 15% or theres something more that affect it that i dont know.
For handbag recommendation, if you dont like ‘happening’ design that much like me, i can recommend you many design ^3^
if you love chain and classic-y(?) design i would recommend the vavin mm. I love it bcs its comfy and its pretty. It has small zipper pocket on the inside too. I keep my card and my money when i wont bring a wallet. I rarely see someone wear it, i luv it. If you love small bag, the Small Twist or Lockme BB is cute! Also Pochette Accessories is so comfortable.
Or maybe you want Lv signature or classic design like Speedy and Alma. Or extraordinary design like Egg Bag XD
But i think in lv, theres each design for each individual, each design for each taste, each design for each style! So many design to choose
Oh, make sure you check the stock before you go, call them first. Maybe the design that you want is available at Plaza Senayan or Pacific Place, not PI.
