Hi guys! I have recently become obsessed with LV shaw. I now have two denim shine and one regular shine and the leopard stole.

I’ve been told multiple things by multiple SA’s about how to clean them. Some say dry clean only. Some others have told me the dry cleaning can actually shrink the shawl and that I should carefully hand wash it with woolite, roll it up tightly in a towel and lay it flat to dry.

I hesitate to bring them to the drycleaner because they’re very expensive and I have trust issues leaving them there. So I tried the wool lite method with one of my denim shaw‘s but now after drying the fringe on the edges of the shawl are wavy. It didn’t really bother me until I pulled another one out of my drawer that hadn’t been washed yet that was perfectly straight. Here’s a picture of the wavy fringe.

What do you guys do with yours?

I love these shawls too! I’m not much help, because I haven’t washed or dry cleaned any of mine. I take them off when eating or drinking.
I have spot cleaned a couple of tiny spots by hand. Unless I spill something all over one of mine, I will continue to leave them alone. Dry cleaning concerns me because of shrinkage or theft. I would be more inclined to hand wash. But then you have wavy fringe and I don’t know how to fix that.
Anyone else have ideas? Would love to know as well!

Dry Clean only as per care instructions on the label…

Don't know if this helps but.....I wash my very expensive cashmere sweaters in water and light addition of Johnson's Baby Shampoo by hand, rinse then squish (not twist!) the water out, then jelly roll them between clean bath towels. I have classic sweaters over ten years old that still look (and smell) new after this treatment.
