LV refused to repair my wallet, any suggestions other than taking it to my cobbler?

It's frustrating sometimes dealing with repairs. I sent in my Black MC Speedy for a new zipper pull, side lock, and clochette--the factory (in San Dimas) held onto the bag for a month and sent it back to the store saying they "weren't authorized" to do the repair! The SA had no clue what they were talking about as she had sent various emails along with whatever paperwork they send. In the end they only charged me about $68 for everything--the SA felt bad and embarassed.
You could always try having a different SA call and send it in. Maybe a different repair specialist will get a hold of it and try to fix it. It's worth a shot.
But, if it's a hassle to get to a different LV, I'd just go to a leather worker.

Thanks for your message! To update everyone, I went and picked up my wallet yesterday and spoke to the SA who normally helps me. It seems like there is nothing I can do with the repair. However, your advice to go to a different LV store might make sense. Also, I was given Leather Spa in NY City earlier by LV to help with the repair but I am not sure if they are able to do the job. All I need is really to have a few stitches put in the upper corner of my wallet so I am assuming that should not bev too complicated! My original quote to put in a few stitches was 42 dollars. That seems like a lot...no?
