I purchased a RTW LV sweater and wore it once. I was mortified to see that there was a hole in garment by the seam. My CA told me to take it to a tailor and they will reimburse me. I am so upset. I spent a fortune on this sweater and it is unacceptable to pay this much and need a repair immediately. Does anyone have any recommendations? At the very least, I feel I should be able to get store credit. I would prefer to get a full refund. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks. IMG_4640.jpeg

Request a refund and contact your cc company ( I find Amex platinum more responsive than chase sapphire so long as the purchase was recent). This does not look like a simple opening by a seam imo

Decades ago LV was unable to repair a RTW item or refer me to an appropriate repair source, so I stopped purchasing LV RTW.

Just my 2 cents here, would not take your sweater to a tailor for repair at this time.
Would go back to your SA & ask to return for full reimbursement or see what they put on
the table to satisfy you. Would you want a replacement?
You have to tell LV what you would want in a manner of speaking.
Is this a recent purchase? Are you within the time frame to be able to file a dispute?
If you do not get any satisfaction from LV, then would consider contacting your CC
Give LV a chance to make this right. Did you send you SA an image of the sweater
or was it a phone conversation & your SA suggested that you take it for repair?
LV must have an in house repair department, let LV do the repair, or let LV send it out
for repair ,JMO

This was purchased in May but it was from the Fall collection. It was such a thick sweater I couldn’t wear it until the weather got colder. Hopefully that doesn’t cause a problem. I really cannot believe the quality. This was my first piece from a runway show and it will definitely be the last.
