LV product shortage in US???

Hey everyone,

I haven't been on here in a while, and have been itching for a new LV shoulder bag. The last few times I checked the LV website EVERY bag I looked at was sold out online. So, I called a couple of the stores near Phoenix, Arizona and just about every bag I asked about was sold out in the stores too! They did have one bag that I asked about, and I'm thinking of picking that up today after work. What's going on with the LV shortage? The SA on the phone said that they just underestimated the demand.

The reason for the shortage is simple- the recession of 2009. When the recession hit, LVMH predicted low sales thus low supply. To many surprise, the sales in fact have remained steady throughout the recession and in fact, exceeded expectations. Be patient, they will be back but from what I understand, not til December.
