LV petite malle or chanel mini rectangle?

I love the Chanel mini rectangle! I really wanted to get the LV petite malle but I just couldn't do it at that price point and opted for the Chanel mini rectangle instead and then got the LV essential trunk as well because it looks like the petite malle but more petite 
Chanel mini. It’s just gorgeous..! 
I adore the PM! I’d choose it every time over the Chanel mini personally. I think the PM has such personality and the connection to the LV hard piece heritage is amazing. But I’m the crazy who bought my first PM in a one off alligator design for an exotics show 
That said even the monogram PM come with a heftier price tag and they are quite heavy because of the wood. That is definitely a factor for some people. But that satisfying snap of that tiny trunk closing is soooooo satisfying.

I would choose the petite malle mainly because of 2 things:
1) The homage the PM pays to the trunk-making history of the LV house.
2) I already have a small classic flap.
However, that being said, the PM may not be ideal for your lifestyle and practicality.
I don't have a PM, but I know it is small and won't fit much. But I have come to terms with that and it is on my wishlist.
Another thing to consider is your wardrobe and aesthetic. They are pretty different/distinct bags from each other. Perhaps it is better to go with one you know you will reach for often and that suites your style better.

Hi @CPA, I know this is a very old thread but curious if you did keep this gorgeous PM or returned?
I've always known I'd add the PM to my collection and thought will perhaps go the reseller route but now contemplating a snake skin PM. Wonder how the exotics of LV (or any brand for that matter) wears? Would you have any experience?
Hi, I kept it and still have it. It’s a beautiful piece. It’s almost like brand new. I use it a few times in the evening.
