I'm deciding between the LV Palm Springs Mini Backpack OR Hermes Evelyne Mini (16)... I'm not sure! I have two LV bags in my collection (Speedy 30 and the Pochette Metis) but I don't own any Hermes.

Or maybe I should save up for a Chanel Classic Medium Flap? (I only have one Chanel bag - the GST).

Any help would be appreciated!!

Hey there, I think I would probably go for the Chanel, because to me its more versatile. I feel like it can be worn casual but also dressy while the Evelyne is feels very casual.

I have both. Evelyn mini (TMP) is adorable, but it is open. The palm springs is an easy bag with a zipper and fits more than the TMP.
I use the PS in heavy rain and no issues. I would not be able to do that with the TPM. A chanel is a classic bag. The mini would be great, but not available in caviar anymore. I suppose you could save up for the small, (I do not own a small size). The medium you can not wear cross body and is a totally different look. So with all that said if you have the will power to save for the mini that is what I would do. Or I would buy it right now before it goes up in price. Just borrow money from someone that you would not have to pay interest LOL.

I don't have Hermes Evelyne but I have LV Palm springs mini and Chanel classic flap bags. I use my Classic flaps for evenings/shopping trips and Palm springs mini for running errands, travel. Despite of me not being a LV or a backpack person, Palm springs mini is my most used bag and I will repurchase it in a heartbeat if anything happens to it.

If you are petite don't go with palm springs mini.
The shoulder straps are long. It keeps rubbing your backside. You will end up with rubbing canvas and peeling glaze.
It is cute and more versatile than evelyn because you can hand carry, crossbody as well as use it as a backpack.
Volume wise, psm wins.
If you only want 1 bag, chanel classic flap. You can go with small size for a cheaper option since mini in caviar is no longer in production. Both medium and small can be use as crossbody bag if you are petite but it will sit higher.
It can go from casual chic to formal event.

Thank you all! I am leaning towards the Chanel... but the price is outrageous.... I'm also planning to pick up a LV toiletry 26 before the increase on Thursday! I hope I can find it!

I got the Hermes Evelyne mini and I love it! It's cute and good to use if you are not bringing much stuff with you. I'd still pick it over the two that you've mentioned. Although I must say that they are nice purses too.

Evelyne hands down. Way more special than the other two and a great addition to your collection. Not to mention it is a great starter piece to the slippery orange slope. Chanel for second choice because I get the idea that every girls need a black flap. It’s so expensive for what it is and I literally see it everywhere.

I love the mini evelyn--it is so adorable. I tried to make it work for me but it was just too small to handle my essentials. Have you given it a try? Because of that, I vote the Chanel. I have the reissue 225 size and love it. Fits the essentials and can be worn either crossbody or on shoulder.
I think the backpack is cute but never tried it on so really can't comment on that.

I had collected 3 TPMs a few years ago and used them briefly but quickly grew frustrated. As much as I adore the tiny bag look and collecting the pop colors, I have found it to be too small and the top being open was not a bonus bc my things fell out when I put the bag on my car seat. Sold them all. Just sharing my experience. I voted for the Chanel in this case bc that style you chose is timeless, effortless bag to use and retains value.

I echo whoever said that these are very different bags. Because these are VERY different bags. We don’t know your style, what you look for in a bag, how you want to use it, etc. and without knowing those I will say Chanel - I think that’s the only one you can dress up and down, as well as a true classic (and I’m someone who is done with buying Chanel bags!). I love my Evie TPMs and use them a lot, but that’s because I’m super casual nowadays, normally carry nothing but phone + card case (don’t even do wallet) + keys, and am happy with a long strap that many petite people will find awkward in length.

I would also just like to say that depending on where you are and other factors such as luck...assuming you are not currently an Hermes client...you may have trouble getting an Evie TPM, especially if you are set on specific color/hardware.
