LV Fabric Bags (i.e. Idylle/Mini Lin) VS Fendi Mono Fabric Bags

Hi! This thread may hit home with some LV idylle owners who have some problems with fading, etc. I am trying to compare LV fabric bags (i.e. Idylle, Mini Lin, etc.) with that of Fendi Monogram Canvas bags - Which holds up better? I have seen how some would compare the durability of the Idylle with other types of material like Canvas or Leather but I think it's not a fair comparison to begin with. Anyway, if anyone owns BOTH (an LV fabric bag AND Fendi fabric bag), which one do you think is better?

I can say though that for the idylle (I have the speedy in fusain), in a few years the color does fade slightly depending on usage and exposure to the elements. And the fabric has also developed a slight wrinkle. I don't own a fendi but have checked some pre-loved bags at ebay. I must say, even after years of usage the fabric doesn't have any wrinkling on it and the colors are still rich!

Your thoughts?

I don't have any knowledge about LV fabric of the Idylle but I once owned a Fendi Mamma and the fabric was pretty durable and felt strong, the colors of the Fendi monogram were deep and rich.

If I'm not mistaken, there is some kind of strong nylon woven through the threads of jacquard fabric. Each thread is treated individually through the loom.

LV fabric may be jacquard? I don't know tho.

I have the LV mini lin lucille and the LV idylle fantasie and both have faded, still looks ok but it does fade. Mind you, I have had them for 5 years or so now and I guess with exposure to the sun the colour has faded over time. I don't have the wrinkles though, just the colour has faded.

I have a fendi crossbody bag in the Fendi canvas print and it actually has kept its colour, no wrinkles too. I have had the Fendi for longer maybe several years and wear from time to time (no a frequent purse) but overall I would say that the Fendi colour doesn't fade when I compare to my LV's. Hope that helps.

glad to hear from you guys i really think fendi's more durable. I have not owned one but I've seen them at the shops and have felt the jacquard fabric - somewhat thicker than the idylle. what i don't understand is, with LV's price, can't they damn make it as durable and even better?! lol. I hate the fact that I know my Idylle would only keep fading and wrinkling as the years will go by.

Hi all,
I have a speedy in Idylle Ebene (fabric) and with the usage where my arm touched the bag faded - Does someone know if LV makes maintenance or treatment in the fabric? the ziper and leather are still new.
