Hi all, I need some help deciding... I'm looking for a spring/summer crossbody bag and deciding between the Louis Vuitton Double Zip Pochette in Damier Azur or the Gucci Ophidia shoulder bag in white. Both are appealing in their own way and I know they're different types of bags. Looking for something I could easily dress up and down. What are your thoughts??

I really like the LV and am interested in the azur double zip too. I don’t own any Gucci but I have to say given the choice for a summer bag, I might go with the Gucci. That is if you are fine with it being only shoulder carry. Good luck deciding.

I have a DZP in empriente and really like it. Keep in mind it doesn’t hold much. The Azur is perfect for summer, and the bag is small and light. I am not a big fan of Gucci monogram (except on SLGs and RTW) so am not partial to that one.

I have both of these bags, but in different prints. The DZP is super light and slim on the body. I have an iPhone mini and it can fit with case in the slip pocket, which I love! You do have to be a bit careful with how you pack this bag as it can become wonky looking easily. Great bag for just the essentials.
The Gucci bag can definitely fit more, and fit it easily. It’s also more structured, and sticks out bulkier from the body. I love mine, but usually wear it on the shoulder, bc I don’t like where it hits me crossbody. This bag in the prints you chose would be more carefree in the rain, etc. since it’s treated leather and coated canvas, versus the vachetta on the DZP.
overall, they’re both really nice bags, and I think it depends on if you’re looking for something slim that just fits the essentials, or something a bit bigger that fits more than the essentials.

The downside of the LV is the vachetta - even with waterproofing spray, it's not fully waterproof, so you need to be careful if you get that one. I like both bags and I think it depends on what you need to carry and what your needs for the bag are.
