Hi - I'm debating getting a compact long wallet. I'm between the LV Clemence wallet in empreinte leather ($785) or the Chanel Medium Zipped Wallet in Caviar. ($800). I know both materials are pretty durable and the price is around the same. LV can hold 8 card and Chanel 4, but there's space in the middle to place as well if I don't want them too organized or for rewards cards. I really only have 4 cc's so that's not a huge factor and the rest are rewards. I'm wondering if anyone has tried both and what their thoughts are. I've seen the Chanel one in person and like the length/shape as it feels like a nice wallet, but not too big and bulky. would love some feedback. also - curious if anyone has tried liked colored beige/taupe in either fashion house for SLGs and the wear on that.

I have one Chanel wallet and card case. I really, really like LV for wallets. I am partial to the Empreinte leather wallets, and have one Clemence that I have been very happy with. It seems that, in my years on TPF, people are happier with their LV slgs than their Chanel ones. I wanted two Chanel wallet options for my Chanel bags, but most of my wallet/slg experience is overwhelmingly with LV and I recommend 100%. Super hard-wearing, and I would imagine that their canvas wallets are even more so.
thank you for this! Most of my SLGs are from LV too, but haven’t ventured into empreinte yet, but my sister has Victorine and seems super durable. I like the actual size of the chanel one as it’s a tad smaller, but the functionality of the LV one.
