LV changed the zipper pulls- what do you think?

I bought an Odeon yesterday, and while inspecting it I noticed that the zipper is no longer shiny, it's a matted, almost coarse looking brass.
The SA told me that too many people were complaining about their brass zippers being ruined by hand sanitizers etc... so a few weeks ago, LV changed the zipper pulls.

I must say, I'm not crazy about the new look. Have you guys noticed this?

Ok- it's really hard to get it to show up well in pictures. I put the Odeon zipperpull beside the brass clip on my azur nf (they're both brand new) so you can see the difference. The new look is muted, and it's really...yellow looking!
I hope these pictures are good enough- if not I can try taking them outside.

Eh... I'm not too sure if I like the new zippers. :s ...and because of hand sanitizer?! What ever happened to good ol' fashioned hand washing?!

Hmmmmm, I'll miss the shiny brass zipperpulls... they are so much nicer... but they do tarnish with a lot of wear and tear...

Hopefully the matte brass will hold its colour a lot more... maybe it'll turn shinier as we use it? Hopefully!!

I'd rather have the new ones because the old brass tarnishes. For the money I spend on my LVs, I want hardware that doesn't tarnish! I have a very old Coach bag that has no wear at all on the hardware. It's sad that Coach hardware outlasts LV.

Not sure how I feel about the zipper pull not matching the rest of the hardware on the bag...at least the rest of the zipper hardware seems to match. I don't think it would bother me too much, at least I know the polish won't flake off over time.

wow that's crazy! if they're going to change the zipper pulls to something less attractive, they should lower the prices! :[
