Does anyone here live in a hot climate and own LV bags, such as in Nevada etc where temps can get to over 100? I wanted to bring a bag to Las Vegas on vacation but I’m afraid temperatures that high may damage it

I think problem arises if you live in humid countries. I know LV canvas bags in Japan develops issues overtime because of the humidity. I have a lot of hand me down LV bags from my aunt and the the old linings on all of them are all peeling. I have some of the same bags (we bought them together) and my lining is still fine because I live in CA.

I was in Vegas quite a few times already (although without bringing my own LV to LV lol….) and I can tell you there are A LOT of people carrying their Louis bags, so I dont think there will be any issues for your bag
Just enjoy and have a great time in Sin City :coolio:
And maybe you can add another LV bag as there are so many stores located at the strip (I think around 10…) :panic:

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago and my LV bag was fine. You'll mostly be indoors anyway. Even if you're walking the strip, your bag will be fine. Just don't leave anything in the car. There are also many LV stores in Vegas. Have fun!

I am glad you found this thread so I don’t have to write you an explanation. LOL I am like a broken record. LOL I forget how much we used to buy moister absorbers in Japan. I would buy a case during summer and all of the packages would turn into water by the end of season. Kinda funny when I see them selling it in diaso stores in CA. My friends in Tennessee used them all summer too and swear by them. It has save their sweatshirts and sweaters from getting mold. Does the same thing for bags too. I think last year I ended up sending a case to her because she could not find it anywhere, even Amazon sold out of them. Not a popular item here so they are still in shelves during summer.

That's so good to know , tbh I didn't realise how hot and humid it gets in Japan! I lived in very humid parts of Australia and we used those Daiso moisture absorbing packs all the time as well. Even in winter in a drier city, I came back from an emergency trip and hotel quarantine and found a bag covered in mould :( luckily not an expensive bag but still sad. That particular place though probably didn't have great ventilation, so those beads are definitely useful in all sorts of situations.

Hope to travel to Japan again one day and CA as well
