Someone else on here once found a 'vintage' LV for 25 CENTS!
And I once found a mono Dior for $3 at value village.
other might have thought it was a fake because it didn't have Louis Vuitton inside - ha ha

great deal on the french speedy! I found a vintage gucci at a garage sale and after I had paid ten bucks for it, one of the old women who were holding the garage sale got very mad at the other one for selling it for so cheap! But I walked away from the sale going  !

I always browse consignment stores, thrift stores, especially for hoping to find a deal, ect. But not has happened yet. And I browse the scarf section of these stores - to hopefully find something. Again, hasn't happened yet. It might though. :shame:

where i live we have several second hand/thrift stores. a few months ago i got a gucci watch for a buck, just have to get a new band for it, a dior makeup bag among other things. you just have to look--i always be on the look out!

twinkle- are you in the san francisco area? if so the goodwill rep from san fran gets her lv authenticated on the accessories board on ebay- which is probably why the prices are so high. LOL. she knows what she's doing!

Now that's what I call a GREAT DEAL!! Post photos on this board in the authenticate section and see if our pros can't help your friend out!! That's a great deal!! Even if it old and worn!!

My friends and I have found quite a few authentic designer bags at thrift shops in Florida. Of course it helped that my one friend was a manager at one so she gave me first look when I came in before she put things on the floor. I paid $20.00 for a older LV bucket bag with the leather strip in the middle of the bag. I gave it to my sister. I see these bags sell for 400.00+ on Ebay. I always bought my Mom gucci bags some for as cheap as $1.00. When my Mom passed away all her bags were no longer to be found. My SIL took a few to sell on Ebay and made a good profit and my sister probably gave the rest away. There were a lot of out of the way thrift shops where the people working changed day to day and who ever worked there that day put things out, so many people did not know the designer things they were selling, they literally gave them away. My friend bought a Judith Leiber (spelling?) bag for $10.00 at one store and a LV suitcase for under $100.00.
Garage sales were another big deal and a weekly thing for my friends and I.
I guess if you live in a area where the towns have lots of $$$ the people get rid of things and just don't care.
