I've really enjoyed watching Connor's videos and thought it'd be fun to adapt his recent "Luxury Raffle" Tag video into a thread where us non-Youtubers can answer. Connor if you're reading this, I hope you don't mind! I'd love to read everyone else's answers!
Hoping you all will play along with me!
- Best Louis Vuitton collaboration - pass, don't follow closely enough
- Worst Chanel collection - I don't follow the RTW and seasonal bags as much, so don't have a great answer for this. I usually love cruise but am really disappointed by what's coming for 22C
- Bag you’re loving right now - Fendi First, it's like a more timeless and practical version of the BV Pouch
- Bag you’re not liking right now - LV Coussin...yuck I hate everything about it
- Bag you’re excited for to be released - nothing on my radar right now
- Biggest luxe disappointment - so far, my 2020 Van Cleef Holiday Pendant... I haven't worn it once
- Bag you can’t get out of your head - Malachite Togo B30 GHW...but less so now that I have a green Kelly
- Item you’ll purchase most likely next - Nothing on the radar right now, just bought a new bag!
- Favorite designer homeware (if you don’t own one, what would you pick) - I'd love to get an Hermes teacup and saucer one day for my daily tea
- Your most used luxury item - lately it's been my Goyard Artois because I've had a pretty casual summer
- Favorite Chanel leather - I love the aged calf on the reissue. So soft to the touch and feels luxurious but still durable
- LV Monogram or Damier Ebene/Why - mildly prefer the DE but am not drawn to either print
- Cartier Love or JUC/Why - JUC, removable and more of a statement
- Favorite luxury perfume - this isn't really "luxury" but I just love the scent of Maison Louis Marie No.04 and wear it most days
- Least liked fashion house/why - I don't ever see myself buying something from Balenciaga, just not my vibe at all
- Most practical you own - LV speedy B 30, durable, fits a ton, can fold it up, wear crossbody for hands-free
- Least practical bag you own - my bags are mostly pretty practical - maybe small Lady Dior? The strap is too short to crossbody and it's a somewhat delicate lamb leather
- Your best work horse bag - Goyard Artois MM - I put it through a lot of use and it still looks awesome
- Your most delicate bag - Celine classic box but the leather is soooo luxurious
- Bag you’re thinking of selling next - will definitely be selling my LV Capucines PM, too many black bags and this one never gets used
- Best under the radar luxury bag - Fendi Peekaboo - IYKYK, otherwise it just looks like a beautiful leather in a classic shape. On my "someday" wishlist!
- Best ‘uncommon’ luxury brand (Valextra, Moynat) - I've been following the thread on Peter Nitz and love his bags. Would love to get one custom made at some point
- Birkin or Kelly and why - TBD on how I like my new K! Style-wise it's always gonna be the B for me though. Love a casual open tote
- Hermès or Chanel - have to with Chanel for this, I love the aesthetics of the brand and feel like I enjoy more of their items than I do Hermes but Hermes bags just are in another league of craftsmanship
- Gucci or Prada - Don't have a bag from either one but I think I'd go with Gucci. I quite like their classic monogram print and used to have a soho disco which was sooo practical
- Best designer accessory - pass, not into costume jewelry or those useless small SLGs. Maybe sunglasses? Idk I'm just here for the bags
- Most pointless designer item - the Hermes dog bed and dog things generally are crazy to me. Every time I try to pamper my dog all she wants is to lay on a blanket that smells like me or play with a squished up plastic water bottle
- Your unicorn bag and why - I know it's not a "unicorn" as it's not rare (is that the right definition?), but my B35 Gold PHW is the epitome of luxury to me and the bag I always dreamed about
- Do you baby your bags or use them freely - mostly just use them freely. I'd say it takes me a few times wearing a new bag out to really feel confident and "forget" about wearing it
- How many bags is ‘too much’ - For the most part, as long as I'm using a bag a few times a month, it's fine to stay (unless it's an "occasion" bag in which case I'm fine using it less often) - what I try to avoid is having duplicates (same size, color, function)
Hoping you all will play along with me!
