Lumpy card wallet? Does this look right to you?

Hi,
I bought this card wallet today, the leather is so lumpy. I bought it from a major dept store and the other one in stock was similar but not as consistent in texture. It’s as though the padding or reinforcement material beneath is degrading? Or it could be perfectly normal for this style. Thinking of returning it and curious to get opinions.

I don’t know if it’s supposed to look like that, but it doesn’t look good. Is there a stock photo of this style you can compare to? It looks like a defective item to me.

It's pretty lumpy there, too, you're right. Maybe it's that leather treatment. I find it odd that the site doesn't have it; is it a second, possibly?

Regardless of whether it is supposed to look like that or not, it sounds like you do not like it. Why did you buy it if you weren’t happy with it? I never would have bought it. It looks defective to me. Only buy things you love.

It wasn’t obvious in the store with the lighting, it was behind glass and I didn’t examine it before buying, she pulled it out and put it in a box so I’ve not had a closer look until I got home.

I like the style, as I said, just trying to work out whether this look is intentional as the store website has a similar look to the leather.

It was from a major dept store, full price.
