Does anyone have input on the quality of Lucky Brand boots? I'm looking specifically at a pair of black leather ankle boots with a rubber lug sole and wondering how they hold up from season to season. I live somewhere that gets a lot of winter weather and usually wear Aquatalias and Sorels but wanted something a little less utilitarian looking with a little height, but practical. Thanks!

I don't have any experience but I'd think they would be a fashion boot, not a high quality comfort boot. Not comparable to Aquatalia. For me, I don't need very expensive designer shoes but I can't really wear cheap shoes due to lack of comfort. I had a work friend years ago who wore very cheap (like Payless) shoes and was perfectly comfortable. I do have one pair of cheap boots I got when I was on a mission for something that would hug my ankles. they're ok for casual outings; I wouldn't wear them for a lot of walking.

thanks! that's a good point. I commute via bus/train mostly and would do a lot of walking so I think I should stick to something of higher craftsmanship.

probably right....but also depends on your feet. If you have feet that don't require comfort shoes then maybe these would be ok as far as durability. I have no idea.
I have recently bought a couple of Lucky Brand tops. I used to think they were too young or cheap or something but I'm liking them now.

Lucky Brand mostly has fashion footwear. Even with their Ressy Chelsea-style boot, the sole just isn't made for snow and can lead to an easy slip-and-fall on sidewalk ice. Why they don't put some grip on those things for goodness sakes (especially at those prices!) I'll never know.

I upgraded my heavy, shin-high Sorels with sheerling-like lining to the Sorel Joan Of Arctic Wedge II boots in black. They're a more streamlined, stylish boot while still being waterproof and insulated with a thick sole for ultimate grip. Now they're the only ones I wear from Winter to Mud Season to Spring in Utah.

I’ve been wearing my Lucky Brand Bartalino Booties for about 7 years and I live in Canada. They are holding up quite well and they get a lot of wear in the winter months although I wouldn’t wear them in deep snow. I’ve had more expensive boots that don’t like the salt and snow that had to be babied and they didn’t last as long as these have.
