I went to Marshalls today and I saw a rather large selection of Lucky Brand bags for very good prices ($68 out of $170). Very nice leather and lovely colors. However I was a little skeptical on how the bags were constructed. The leathers seemed very light and flimsy. Do any of you ladies own any Lucky Bags? And are they good quality/durable?

i bought a lucky bag 3 years ago? 4? anyway, it's the patchwork mailbag and it's huge. they still make the patchwork bags, but mine is bigger than the ones i'm seeing now. i get a million compliments on it and it has worn so, so, so well. some of the patches were suede and i need to brush those once in awhile because they can get dirty, but the leather ones are fine. thick leather, but not super stiff! maybe i'll break her out tomorrow!

I have a friend that carries that Abbey Road Foldover, she has it in 4 colors and bought a 2nd brown and a 2nd black as backup. She LOVES it and they hold up SO well I think.

Hi...bringing this thread up again...because I have the lucky patchwork bag, I just got it, and would like to know if anyone has scotchguarded thiers?....I was thinking of those suede patches....Thanks!

In all honesty, if you can get a Lucky Bag on sale at Marshall's or TJM, you should run out and get it! The quality is there....a lot like some of those $350 bags out there for a whole lot less money.

I've had one experience with Lucky bags, and to be honest, I haven't been that impressed with the quality. A couple years ago, I bought one of their leather stash bags from their website and after a few months of very, very intermittent use, the stitching on the flap zipper started to come loose. (And for the record, I am not hard on my bags at all.) I was also kind of disappointed with the quality of the leather. I understand that they're going for the whole antiqued look, but the leather didn't even feel nice. I still think a lot of their bags are really cute, and if I saw another style at a good price at TJ Maxx or Marshall's, I might give the brand a second try. :smile1:

I have a few that I got a few years ago and they are great, perfect for everyday bags. However, I think some of the more recent ones are lacking quality (as are Lucky Brand's newer jeans). The leather feels much thinner to me.
