Thanks - this is part of the video issued by The Royal Hashemite Court of Jordan of His Majesty King Abullah II's visit yesterday. It's @RHCJO on X.
King Abdullah is no stranger to The Highlands and I think that he'd have appreciated seeing RRS Lt. Colonel Jonny looking so splendid - as do we !
Great little clip. I wonder why Jonny was on duty in full regalia for this particular event? Doesn't seem to follow the usual pattern that we have been seeing lately? Perhaps just an acknowledgement of King Abdullahs status? - bringing out the top team with the King's Senior Equerry. Whatever the reason - we certainly enjoyed!

I think it was as simple as Charles had two events yesterday afternoon. One at BP in which Equerry Will Thornton was on hand and then it appears to have been a quick-ish dash to Windsor for this.

Although called ' a working visit ' King Abdulla is celebrating his Silver Jubilee so it seems that King Charles felt it appropriate to mark the occasion.
King Abdulla is half English, trained at Sandhurst and is an accomplished Officer and Honorary Colonel of our Dragoon Guards.
Let's hope that we see Jonny featuring over the weekend too !

A new Lord Mayor of London has been installed and there was a celebratory parade this morning. I have posted a short video that was released and wonder if it is Jonny that we see in the Glengarry, seated on the front row. He in only seen for a few seconds.

Is this our Jonny ???

Coverage was on the BBC (avalaible on the iplayer if you’re in the UK).

5Scots participated in the parade, the commentary team said it was the Guard Commander.
