Hi everyone!

So I want to purchase a diamond pave Love Ring, ideally in yellow gold. However, turns out it’s only made in rose or white gold and it’s not possible to special order in yellow.

I reallllly want the ring but not sure if I should get it in rose gold or instead get the slimmer option pave rings (sm or wedding band) that’s available in yellow gold. I just really love the look of the thicker Love Ring :/

I have a yellow gold love bracelet already. Curious if yellow gold and rose gold looks good together?

Which one do you think I should get? :)

Personally I'm not a fan of mixing metals so I would not do that.
I think it is the only question, which is very personal !

ITA with the only question being whether you want to mix and that it’s very personal

I mix metals (Bulgari rose gold is not as pink as Cartier). I‘m not matchy.

IMO you have to try the combo on IRL before you truly know

i also think stick to the thicker ring bc it’s what you love

I like mixing and matching my fine jewelry. However, I do take into account how pink the rose gold is.

For example, Tiffany, Chanel, and Bvlgari rose gold are all close enough (to me at least) that I can wear them with one another or with yellow or white gold.

I personally find Cartier rose gold to be very pink and therefore, would stand out against the other rose gold or yellow gold pieces that I have. This is actually why I ultimately decided on the yellow gold love bracelet over the rose gold love bracelet.

Also, depending on your skin tone, some things may stand out a little more or maybe not as much as you thought!

But like everyone said earlier, depends on your preference. ;)

If you haven't done so yet, I recommend wearing your yellow gold (and maybe a white gold piece) to the Cartier store and try them on with rose gold to see how it looks on you.
Good luck, pave diamonds are beautiful!!!!:heart::heart:

Thanks so much for the advice everyone! I’m going to the store tomorrow to try the rings on. I think I might be leaning towards the yellow gold wedding band now. I’m just feeling a bit weird about purchasing a “wedding band” for myself haha. Would you still get one?

Oh no, not weird at all! I've definitely bought wedding bands to wear alone, stack with other rings, or use as a ring stopper for rings that are a bit big.
I've had friends who've also bought wedding bands as daily jewelry. Gives a nice clean aesthetic.

I actually find Cartier’s rg quite subtle compared to some other brands. Also Cartier’s rg is known to fading so as time passes it ends up looking more yg. I wear Cartier yg and rg together and even the SA at the store thought the rg was yg. I would go with the regular love ring you love, I prefer the larger amount of bling on the regular size as it makes more of a statement. I also think mixing metals is chic.

Thank you!! Really appreciate everyones comments and advice. It's super helpful!

I went into the boutique today and tried on both the larger rose gold Love Ring and the thinner yellow gold Wedding Band. While I LOVED the rose gold ring, and I think it would look cool to wear with my yellow gold bracelet, I still decided for the wedding band. I'm petite with small hands (lol) and I thought it seemed a bit easier to wear the thinner version. But I still love the rose gold Love one and might get it anyway in the future. I'm addicted to Cartier now... :P:panic:

Again, thank you so much!

Yes, absolutely. If you are on the fence, it could depend on how to style! Have you thought about which finger for the ring in question? If not the ring finger, then it would be less wedding band (full disclosure: I would have no problem wearing the Cartier ‘wedding band’ on any finger, thoguh I do think the wider band looks least weddingish !) I don’t normally wear pinkie rings, but when I was in bulgari trying on a serpenti tubogas bracelet, DH said he’d love to see the current serpenti ring on my pinkie to go with it. So he and the SA talked me into a different finger for the ring

edit: congrats @Pennypen ! Cannot wait to see an action pic! Hugs
