Love necklace pave in YG?

The pave love necklace has been on my wishlist for a while now and I finally decided to get it for my birthday this month only to discover that it does not come in yellow gold, only pink gold or white gold. I feel like I remember that it used to be sold in yellow gold but I’m told that it is not even available to special order. Anybody have any info on this?

If I were to get it in pink or white gold my concern is how it would go with all my other jewelry, especially Cartier pieces, that are all in yellow gold. Does anybody here mix their Cartier colors? Would you go with white or pink gold? Would love to hear your thoughts!

I have often read on here how those with PG/RG Cartier pieces find that they look more like yellow gold over time. Maybe they can chime in and let you know more!

I would get the Rose Gold one bc it’s the closest to what you want. I’ve never seen this necklace in yellow gold but the rose gold one is simply beautiful and layers very well w yellow gold necklaces not too significant of a color difference

Yes, you are right. The Cartier Pave Love necklace for the model you are interested in is only available in rose gold and white gold (Ref. B7224528). However, the other Cartier Pave Love necklace (Ref. B7013800) does come in yellow, rose and white gold. I’m sure you will love whatever you choose as Cartier’s necklaces are all beautiful and elegant.

Now the problem is that since I thought the paved love necklace wasn’t available in YG I had made up my mind to get the VCA 10 motif guilloche necklace instead. Since this one is available, I’m now stuck deciding…I know this is a Cartier forum but would love any thoughts!

Lol...I get it how it becomes a conundrum once your brain starts contemplating other things! But imho I like the Love necklace way more than VCA - it's just a clean classic design that can be worn with anything from tshirts to formal wear, whereas VCA is so feminine I think it doesn't compliment casual wear as well. And while Love bracelets are more commonly seen, their necklaces are rare.

Yes I wanted it for years as an everyday necklace because it can be dressed up and down, but now I can’t get the VCA out of my head, ugh it’s so hard!

I have the plain yellow gold version of the Cartier necklace you’re considering. I wear it every single day, to the gym or to upscale lunch. It matches everything! I am a Cartier girl and don’t own any VCA, somehow I never felt it was my style. Lovely on others, not feeling it on me. I say try the pieces on and really feel them out. I always look at things online and have a general idea of what looks nice, but when I try them on, it’s quite usually a definitive yes or pass.

Thank you everyone for your input! I ultimately decided on the VCA 10 motif guilloche and placed my order yesterday! What made my decision was that I realized I really gravitate towards pendant necklaces so have many of them but was missing a necklace like the 10 motif from my collection. I still love the paved love necklace and will probably get it in the future!

Which love neckless do you have ? One circle or interlocking rings?
