Hello, I am very new to this site & this is my first post ever. I am only 13 so I have just started collection handbags. So far I have a Dooney Bourke Sack that is pink and has ties at the top, a yellow dooney bouke crossword tote, a few guess bags, a couple kathy van zeeland bags, and thats about it (this probably seems like nothing to you guys, wonderful handbags guys!). I am very exited to began collection fancy bags, as I said I am only 13. So I now have enough money to purchase my first real designer bag. So I was thinking the following; (I can afford 1 bag, 1 little wallet/pouch & accessorie.)

Can you use the pochette accessorie as a small purse? Like clip the strap to the zipper? Then I would have a LV for going out to eat & I could also use it as a wallet. I am not sure what accessorie I should go with, any suggestions? I don't want to spend thousands of dollars on this one purchase. I was hoping to spend around 1,000-1,600 total or so. I still have to buy a flat screen tv for my wall :(. So if you guys could just tell me what you think & give me some suggestions on accessoires. Also, I love big bags! Thanks, bye!

This should probably be posted in the LV forum. But yes, the pochette can be used for a small going out bag ( I use mine for that purpose specifically) and also to hold other things inside bigger bags. I use an LV keychain to extend the strap but with you only being 13 it may not be an issue for you.

As far as a bag style do you prefer hand carry or shoulder?

I am so sorry I was gonna write about Juicy Couture too, and didn't see that in the designer forums & thought that I should combine the two things & put it in this section of the site. But then I forgot to.

I am pretty petite, so I probably won't need the keychain, but can you give me an example of the keychain you use, like whats the name of it so I can look it up on louis vuitton site? I like both shoulder and hand. What I like about shoulder is you can have it on your shoulder & have something in your hands. I expecially like it for shopping. But I guess the ones you accually hold I like too, cause you can just hold it on your arm. I guess overal I would prefer a shoulder bag to get started with. Any suggestions?

Avoid classic LV styles. Otherwise you are in danger of looking like you are carrying your mother's purse, which would be unfortunate on so many levels. Buy a fun LV.

i would do the speedy 30 and go for either the zippy coin purse in mono canvas OR mulTiColor (durable & fun!)
however, if you don't like the mulTiColor, then i understand.

the pochette is cute & functional too, but the zippy wallet has all the organizational compartments:

I agree the speedy is a great bag, especially for your purse. How about both the pouchette and speedy. The pouchette would be a great little wallet inside, and you could use it alone when you need both hands free.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound negative here.

Maybe you'll like to buy a piece of LV when you are a little older? Most teens your age probably wont appreciate LV or those who knew might make fun of you. The last thing you want is to have a bunch of school bully splashing paint on your bag.

Get the Papillon 30 $995.00, it is cute and it comes with a little pouch, and you could still get the zippy coin purse in Vernis $405.00 and still be around your price range!

Accually my parents homeschool me :). So I won't need to worrie about that unless my tudior splashes paint on it. But she has one of her own so I doubt it. I respect my stuff alot I freak everytime something of mine gets handled wrong. I am very protective.

Sooo Cute! I cant wait for my little girl to grow up!

You have excellent choices young lady, here is my two cents:

The Mono Speedy in 25 or 30 ( depends on your preference ) So you have a nice all around bag. Very Functional and roomy. You can put in a pair of sneakers and an extra shirt for those just in case moments. $675 - $700

The pochette Accessoires in Mono. A great over the shoulder bag for times when you are out shopping and browsing at stores, keep your hands free. $ 325

A nice Papillon bandeau in white to dress up your Speedy. You can use it as a headband or a belt too. $ 145

Optional: The Trunks key ring in Pomme $330
You can attach this to your Speedy as a charm or to your Pochette as an extender. Its a nice pop of color in contrast to the Mono canvass.
