I have been eyeing off some crossbody LV bags and this one popped onto my radar.

I am heavily leaning towards the Trocadero due to the roominess and outside pocket but this one is also cute and similar to the Eva (which is a little exxy for me in decent condition)

my main concern (other than the lack of an outside pocket) is the vachetta base which I imagine is tricky to look after.
Just wondering if anyone has one and would share their thoughts

I passed on this bag years ago due to the vachetta (it was new in stores). This bag has been long discontinued, so if you get a vintage one, the patina may already be "set" and you won't have to "baby" it as much. I dislike buying brand new bag with virgin vachetta that I need to groom and maintain, so perhaps one that's already heavily patina'd may work for you. You may also want to consider the Blois if you want less leather and an outside pocket.

thank you I just had a quick look at the blois and that could really work just need to see what a decent preloved one would set me back. I am having trouble finding a Trocadero without sticky pockets not sure if the Blois has the same issue

Had a good look at the blois it is absolutely adorable but seems quite bulky and bouncy against the body based on videos and mod shots.
So back to the Trocadero or Trotteur I think shame as I love the look of the blois

I own the Trotteur and it is wonderful. I bought it instead of the pochette accessories!

i just received mine yesterday and took it out on the road today. Finally found the perfect running around bag! going to remove the original strap and use either my monogram canvas one or just use a longer, plain vachetta one. in lvoe!

love it so much more than the pochette! it's wider base allows me to slip in more items comfortable. i generally carry about 4 SLGs inside and still have space for airpods, lip balm and i use the zipper pocket to hold travel fragrance sprays, chewing gum, an eyebrow pencil and a mini eyebrow gel. really love this bag!

I removed the original strap and use a monogram canvas cross body, but can see it being converted to a shoulder bag as well with the appropriate strap. when i'm carrying a larger bag like my cabas alto, i remove the strap entirely and use it as a catchall. such a versatile piece!
