I am so in love with the New Favourite in all 3 colours in Empreinte leather. Price is a bit steep AUD$3900-$4250. Not sure if it is worth that much and will it be a staple piece. What do you guys think?

I always take a whole to warm up to new ideas lol. Being leather takes it up a notch but I do love the DE canvas best.

The shape changed radically. I love the Neo Noé, because it takes the original shape and turns it into someting ligher, more feminine and more modern, while retaining all the original lines.
The Favorite… not really. It actually reverses the change and pushes it to the extreme. The old Favorite feels like a pencil skirt in comparison, while the new one is like a heavy dress from the Reneissance era.

I wanted to like it (empreinte pieces are some of my favorites), but I’m not a fan based on the photos. I’m not into the pleating and it looks a little too short and wide for me. At that price point there are better empreinte pieces that are at least the same size if not larger:

Kinda shocking to see this comparison. It feels like that they are only trying to cash in on the name.
I saw them in the boutique yesterday. They are beautiful and I love the clasp vs that worthless magnet. I sold mine because of that magnet. I don’t know why they just didn’t give this bag it’s own name instead of using an old name because it is so different. I totally agree with BULL’s analogy and and it made me laugh!!! Too me, it seems like it would hold what the old Favorite MM held and maybe more. It’s squishy and the empriente leather is divine. However, the price point is hard to swallow!!! I like how Kadya made the comparisons above. I also wish they didn’t put the bulky chain on this beauty. I love the braided chain on the empriente multi Pouchette Accessories. And it’s comfortable. I guess they wanted it to be a little different and make this bag a little more dressy if you removed the leather strap? Anyhow, it’s a beautiful bag in person and no doubt that many will love it.
I saw this yesterday at the store. The chain was way too big and not classy looking. For the price, no way I am getting that. I was able to snag this instead from Ferragamo.

I have the old Favorite in Damier Ebene and have had no trouble with the magnet or creasing. This price point is too steep, in my opinion, and I agree it should have it's own name. A no go for me.
I was really excited to initially hear there was going to be an Empreinte Favorite - if it were the exact same style as the canvas but in empreinte, a leather strap, and the simple gold magnet, I'd be here for it.
The sharp line & corners of the flap look harsh against the rest of the bag and will probably be the first place to show wear + tear. The lock also makes it look really busy, it doesn't have the same classy feel as the original Favorite esp w. the chunky chain. It's also really wide which is great for additional space but lacks the elegance of the Favorite PM + MM in canvas.
If there's ever an original Favourite MM style bag in the Empreinte leather, that might be of interest, but the entire aesthetic of this bag doesn't appeal to me. Plus at this price point, I'd rather buy an Empreinte PM or look at another brand - I think it was more of an attempt to capitalize on the name of the Favorite while there's still relatively high demand + interest by providing something inspired by it.

I like the original better. I think they are trying to upgrade people to leather and more reminds me of the old Eva bag now....I don’t LVoe it, I would rather buy something else....
I like this bag quite a bit, but I'm not a fan of the chunky chain. Maybe I'll see it so much I'll get used to it and like it, but for now, I still prefer a more delicate chain. I must be stuck in the past. I'd rather have another WOC for that money.

Not a fan. Everything they make these days is so….gaudy.
The new Favourite and many other new releases are not to my liking, but not everything LV makes these days is gaudy.
