Hi everyone,

I've been trying to look for a good bag for school. I have the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM that I use for school, kind of like an all-around throw-around bag. It is an extremely useful bag, I admit, but I was in high school and I felt it was sort of flashy for school. It is very sturdy and I can carry all my books and my binders and won't have to worry much about the rain or snow. But I am searching for other schoolbags as well. What do you think about the Mulberry Bayswater for school?? In my other thread, one person referred me to other pfers asking for bags for school, and I read them all, but didn't exactly help me. What did help me was the one pfer who suggested Mulberry Bayswater for school.
What do you think?? Keep my Neverfull or get Mulberry Bayswater??

I can tell you that a Bayswater is significantly smaller than a Neverfull GM, even sinched. I have both bags, and I prefer the Bays, but it is a pain to get in and out of. I don't know if this is an issue. The downside to the NF is no zipper.

I guess my decision would be how much stuff do you have to carry, and do you need a zipper?

Yes, the no zipper part is a pain in the Neverfull, but it is a very spacious bag, which I like. I have never had an experience with the Bayswater, because I don't have it. How much can you fit in the Bayswater??

You can fit quite a bit - probably equivalent to Neverfull MM. I can put my planner, a book, wallet, sunglasses, coin purse, cell phone and makeup bag (small). The Bays is a pretty heavy bag though. NF would be much lighter with heavy school books.

:DA (Tooled)Bayswater is what I use. Very roomy and holds up really well. I carry enough for 2 classes plus my Mini Hp....I throw in a Wristlet for my keys, phone, etc....It's only heavy if you carry a lot of books/notepads.

Sarafina you're fabulous at pointing out all the important notes about the Bayswater.....I was just sitting here thinking....yep...yep....she noted that one too.

Lol. Im impressed.

I would agree with all SF states.....the Bayswater can be a pain to get into - espesh if in a hurry.......it is heavy to begin with, so VERY heavy filled....I went shopping with it once and it drove me livid coz I bought about 4 fashion mags and put them inside & by the time Id got to the car......I was ready to dump the Bays.........that was about 3 years ago.........I think Ive used it twice since. Wheras I use my neverfull damier MM ALL the time it is SO versatile.

Also.....the LV is far more hardwearing dont you think? Ive been angry at times after going through doors that are tight and thinking my Bays has made it through only to scrape it on brick walls..... :pout::sick::mad:
I do not think.....(and I have 2 MB bags) Mulberry bags are all that hardwearing to be honest. For the price.....

LV Neverfull GM is £465
Mulberry Bayswater is £595 if not more these days.

You could try the Mulberry Piccaddilly which is the same as Bayswater but bigger.....but that might be too big.....& WAY too heavy.

Hope this helps. :D

I have a Bayswater that I use for college, it's very classy and I can fit my books and personnal stuff. However, I agree that's it's a heavy bag but I'm not a fan of the Neverful (too flashy for my taste) so I say get the Bays!
