Louis Vuitton Empreinte scuffing

I just got a lovely Bastille PM in cherry, but it has a good bit of wear on the corners. It is immaculate everywhere else, no colour transfer, the interior is spotless and the hardware is gold and lovely! The straps look brand new. I’m wondering if anyone had any luck repairing scuff marks or if it’s a lost cause? It was a real bargain and not something I could afford usually, even preloved. I paid €450. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'd try covering the scuffs with a matching shoe/leather cream polish.

Thanks for the reply! I can return it, but I felt it was such a good price. Would you recommend returning it or covering the wear?

Not sure where you are based but I would send it off to a Purse Rehab type service who will repair it for you for a fee probably $100-200, even with that this would still be an absolute bargain

How did the bag turn out?
I have the exact same bag and have noticed some issues with black wax transfer, I think from the straps. Wondering if you had any issues with this? Thanks!

I had an Infini Artsy (very dark navy, nearly black leather). I found that the corners got small scuffs even though I was super careful with it. A combo of navy and black shoe polish solved the issue, but with that red, I might consider professional color matching. There are so many shades of red! But yes, if the corners are the only issue and you love the bag otherwise, keep it!

I had mine repaired locally and it was perfect! I couldn’t actually see where they repaired. I would definitely recommend getting it done professionally!

I was going to post to ask the same. I just bought a Empreinte Ponthieu PM Black and two of the corners have wear but the bag is otherwise in excellent condition. What’s the best way to fix? Leather polish? Anyone know any purse repair places in Northern Virginia? Thank you!

That’s great to hear! Will you post pictures of the after? I’m dealing with a similar issue now and wondering if I should look for someone to fix it or just return. The wear on mine is on the corners and I worry about an eventual hole. Thank you!
