Louis Vuitton Collection Question

I bought my first LV back in the 1990's. I got a few handbags for a specific purpose and really enjoyed them.

Then, in October of 2012 I was in Chicago in Saks and I saw the Brea MM Vernis in Amarante from across the room. Bought it immediately. This is what started the "collecting" part of my addiction to LV.

I now have a wonderful collection that I rotate about once a week from handbags to SLG's to Charms & Bandeau's.

It's fun! :party:

What kind of wallet? I'm thinking of getting the Monogram Corail Insolite, but have never seen it in real life. The folks on TPF have been so helpful because I wanted something salmon pink. The responses I've received seem to indicate that this wallet would match that objective. You should do a reveal of the wallet when it arrives tomorrow :biggrin:

How do you like your Keepall? I'm thinking about it, but can't pull the trigger as I don't travel all that often. Probably because my travel funds go toward bags :lol:

Things were quiet until 2013 when I got the Damier Azur Neverfull and cles for my birthday - this was in June.
Then, in November things sort of exploded. I got the following pieces off of Craigslist (I had them authenticated so I knew they were real)

Multicolor Beverly (she was a steal at $500)
Suhali Le Fabuleux in Blue - love the blue
Red Epi leather pochette (sold on eBay)
Sarah wallet in Damier Ebene
Koala Wallet in Damier Ebene
From the Suhali to the Koala wallet was a package deal at $1,750
Batignolles Vertical for $300!!!!

Then, my buying did not cease. I got a multicolor bandeau in white and a Josephine wallet in Damier Azur in December.

Also in December I got a mini pochette iin Monogram which I use daily, and a Damier Ebene cles.

In January I bought the multicolor zippy coin purse in white to go with Beverly and Marilyn

In February I got the sweet monogram corail insolite wallet for Valentines day

In March I got the Sweet Monogram Rose Indien Zippy wallet

In April, I took a break and we bought a mini cooper convertible.

In May I got the Summer 2014 LE Insolite wallet in Damier Azur

I think that's it. Through it all, I also managed to buy my husband a monogram billfold with 9 credit card slots (which is actually a plastic insert) - 2010, Multiple wallet in Damier Ebene, Trunks and Locks, and Damier Cobalt (which we both LOVE LOVE LOVE).

In June I plan on getting the sunglasses MM case :smile:

That's awesome that you rotate your collection about once per week. Do you switch bags and wallets or just your main handbag? Thanks for sharing. :smile:

I change out everything but my White MC Cosmetic. That's one item that I carry every day. It matches practically everything and it catches all those little items that could roll around and possibly cause damage to the interior of my handbag... and we can't have that! :lol:

I'm the same way with the inside of my bag. I have a zipped-up holder for my pens. My lip gloss stays in the cosmetic pouch. I'm very anal even with leaving receipts in the bag for too long (because of ink transfer). That's awesome that you change out everything - you make sure that everything gets used and enjoyed. :biggrin:

I bought the Emilie in mono with red. I'm super picky about the layout of my wallet and I'm hoping this will be the one. Wallets are so hard to choose! If I love it I just might do a reveal.

I am impressed that so many started "collecting" only last year and until now have created a huge wonderful collection.
I bought my first bag in 2009. Then came other pieces ~ bags, messengers, clutches, wallets, cles, scarfs, shawls, shoes, bracelets, belts... But lately I am focused on more expensive pieces, so I stopped buying every month and rather save for a few months to afford something LOVELY. Now I can't wait till my store gets Soft Lockit in July.
