If you spent above 100k in the last 12 Months, you should be prestige. 50-99k is VVIC and 25-49k is VIC...Do you know what tier you are? I believe I’m prestige but got told 5/4?

Its 9000€.. so probably around $11-12000... Someone correct me if I am wrongHiii does anyone know the US price for the Denim Speedy 30? I hate that it's the only bag that struck out to me and I was (lowkey) praying it'd be embossed croc but I think it's real croc and I wanna know the US price before I bite the bullet HAHAH
Makes sense but unfortunately doesn’t help me. Lol. I lost my ca years ago when my LV store closed. If you mainly shop in store and the SAs know you, it doesnt matter how much you buy.
For the previous MC launches in the US that hasnt always been true. My CA knows me and tried to put in pre orders but they were declined by corporate due to the spend limit (I was $716 short because of a return). Many ppl and even VICs had orders cancelled. If you mainly shop in store and the SAs know you, it doesnt matter how much you buy.
My SA took a depwo so thats why i was wondering if she’d be able to place the order on preorder day even if im not prestige. Hopefully she gives it a try 🤞🏻I believe that the orders are checked by HQ and if you don't meet the criteria it will be cancelled, but if your SA is willing to place an order for you why not try. If it gets cancelled you can re-use those funds again with the global launch.
Yes Im looking at the same ones you are and the bandeaus, which I love. That CB OTG was such an investment but it is so beautiful! Congrats!!! The blossoms really look like theyre falling on that structured canvas - gorgeous!Do we know if the regular orders on May 22nd will have the same online process as before? First come, first serve waiting room chaos? 😂
I'm eyeing the neverfull, speedy 20, toiletry pouch or maybe even the Keepall...I told myself only ONE though since I already dropped quite a bit on the OTG from the cherry blossom launch.
I ment the general 12 pieces purchasing limitFor the previous MC launches in the US that hasnt always been true. DEPWOs are a double edged sword as they can ensure your CA has the ability to process the order BUT they can be a hassle to get refunded if the order doesnt go through. Recently I placed one but got my 4th choice item not my 1st choice one.My SA took a depwo so thats why i was wondering if she’d be able to place the order on preorder day even if im not prestige. Hey @Emphosix lovely seeing you in here xI ment the general 12 pieces purchasing limit![]()
Oh no!!! I was so happy when they reached out to take my deposit, i gave it right away. I didn’t realize until after that i was going to have to wait until actual launch day regardless. So what exactly is the point of it if i still have to wait? Wouldn’t it be the same thing if i just waited and placed the order myself launch day? Also if my SA forgets or something to put in the order the day of i miss out and dont have the funds available to place it myself. Ugh its annoying overallDEPWOs are a double edged sword as they can ensure your CA has the ability to process the order BUT they can be a hassle to get refunded if the order doesnt go through. That's been out for more than a week now
My point was that when they hired him, it really felt that they gave him carte blanche. He could shape the collection as he pleased. This man is extremely talented, they picked him for a reason, he already proved his genius by then with many critically and commercially successful releases.
He worked for 4 years on those first 7, and that lineup was magical, with some truly epic creations. Then the numbers came in and LVMH again chose the ea$y path. I bash Hermès a lot, but they kept their private collection high class, so they deserve credit. By that I mean that many of their creations might smell unusual or harder-to-digest for untrained noses. They are critically acclaimed, VERY well crafted, but just like their bags, not for everyone. The original Vuitton fragrances were very similar, most clients found Matière Noire very hard to enjoy, 'smells like grandma, etc...', just to pick one out. The best seller — by far — was Rose des Vents, since that was the easiest-to-digest as a beautiful watery rose scent.
The same happened with the Men's lineup. The first 5 was VERY difficult to enjoy for the masses who were accustomed to Bleu de Chanels and Dior Sauvages.
So corporate decided that they want sales, and they want it bad. The ditched the opportunity to keep and develop an artistic line that is more critically acclaimed than commercially viable. They wanted numbers and they most probably instructed him to make the new releases more commercial. Of course he tried his best hot to sink as low as La vie est belle, but the new releases since 2018 were all very easy-to-digest florals, that are as inoffensive as possible and has a tempting sweet topnote, since that is what SAs can show in the short timeframe of a shop visit. So came Attrapes-Rêves with peony-litchi and Le Jour Se Lève with osmantus in 2018, then Cœur Battant with pear and ylang-ylang in 2019, Heures d'Absence with mimosa in 2020, Étoile Filante with magnolia in 2021, and so on...
all very nice of course with exceptional raw materials, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day they are not bold, no artistic risk taken. Nothing groundbreaking. It screams that they tried to create products that sell very well. Products, not creations. And that is why while they are nice, the fragrance enthusiasts very often comment on them that they don't deserve the high price tag since they are not that original. Not bland clichés like a La vie est belle, but far from the unusual poetry that a Gris Dior is. Funny how LVMH let Francois Demachy play with much less restrictions than Cavallier.
It was even more striking with the Men's line. They had oud with cocoa (!) in Nouveau Monde, or that masterclass of patchouli in Orage... but he was forced to make generic 'bleu' fragrances like Météore and Imagination, to please the Sauvage wearing crowd. That was straight up sad.
The Cologne collection — fortunately — became a hit, but even there, 2 out of the first 3 were immediately discontinued. They even had a summer tea (!) fragrance, so bold an awesome, but sales figures said it can't stay.
This all might sound a little snobbish, since taste is very personal and even if critics hate something, many can enjoy it. But I always say that this — for the exact same reason — is a very similar field as poetry. And while much more people consume Beyoncé lyrics these days than Shakespeare, that doesn't mean that those worth more or that they'll be here a 100 years from now. Shakespeare will. And since 2018, Cavallier feels like a Shakespeare who has to write inspirational quotes on cereal boxes.
And the fact that for both the Sakura and this Cherry collection they chose Spell on You just tells me that money is the only thing that matters.
They knew that this collection is gonna be happening for more than 2 years. I know it might have been a bit of a stretch (but come on, they are LVMH and Cavallier), in 2 years they could develop a Sakura scent for the Sakura line and Lost Cherry-like cherry for this collection. Limited to a few thousand bottles each, priced for as high as they please. That would have been a classy move. Even if they decided to make the scents as mass-appealing as possible. But they chose to slap a sticker on their best sellers to maximize profit. So we ended up with a generic rosy-iris for the Cherry collection 🍒
Sorry for the long post.
they hate us frI was hoping to be offered the bag but they only made a small batch. It’s nomination only in the US.
