Louis Vuitton Canvas PVC?

Anyone know if its true? That the canvas material... monogram, damier, multicolor is made of PVC? A known carcinogen? If yes, ill be truly sad!

What ever the canvas is made of...It a pretty good material for durability and lightweight!

PVC is kind of a plastic as canvas is basically a type of fabric, roughly

It is made of cotton canvas and it has a plasticized coating, whose composition is probably known only to LV.

Of course it's canvas PVC it's plastic plan and simple most people say leather. But the handles and piping is leather that's all

^This is not the case. LV canvas is a cotton material, with a plasticized coating. Cotton itself is a natural fiber that is not plastic.

I learn something new! Thank you for telling me, likewise I said I wouldn't be surprised if it was made of some type of plastic because of the feel of the exterior of the canvas. But I wasn't so sure at the end, just speculating by the feeling and the look of the texture...

I always knew the handle and the piping were leather, but I am just unsure and speculating of the canvas.

The piping and handles are vachetta leather, and the canvas is cotton coated with whatever...I dont know if anyone but LV knows what the coating is....

vinyl production is known to cause green house gas emissions if you are considered about that as well.

Not sure, but I do want to find out too. I just read that Gucci in a 2013 article plans to do away with that (PVC) in its products.
