Just checked, my French Co bag has white stitching, no heat stamp that I can see easily, the "Manufactured ..." is on the paper label. The stitching on my LV non-French Co. bag is yellow.

This is cuckoo bananas to me, but the boutique said it's consistent with FC bags, and it was just authenticated through EndAnd. I bought it from a certified reseller in Japan who swears it is authentic and have their certification to back it up. I think I'm the only one who continues to be a little suspicious. Hesitantly, I'm willing to accept that it is authentic.

With that, I've joined the club! Here is my beautiful Randonnee GM! The canvas and leather are both in amazing condition. It's great to toss in my work things, laptop, thermos, food for day, sling it over my body, and run up 4 floors to my desk. For such a huge bag, it is very lightweight and, of course, LV tough.

If she's real, she's really amazing. And I guess she is both.

I am very seriously considering this bag and I’m trying to decide if it’s too big for me? I am 5’3” and I’m trying to replace the Flannery 45 which I will still use from time to time but I think a backpack might be nice for some of my travels. Can you share any pictures carrying this bag or share how tall you are and how you feel about the size? I appreciate that you shared that it’s more lightweight than you expected. That helps a lot!

I'll try to post photos later, but for now I will say I'm 5'4" and wear a size 12/14. I was worried about the size, but I find it to be perfect for me. I can put in my laptop, drinks, lunch, makeup bag. Sometimes I'll toss in a small bag like an Accessories or similar (I'm careful not to use something that will get it's structure damaged.

For work days, I load it heavy. I clearly couldn't walk around all day with it, but it gets me where I need to go with ease. Usually, I fling it across my chest (I stand it up and throw my body through it... hope that makes sense) and sometimes I use it as a backpack. I love how it pretty well stands straight up. I can always see everything pretty easily. If I used a standard backpack, the slouch and digging would bother me.

Story time.

When I first got the bag, I treated the leather with Leather CPR and sprayed the entire outside with Collonil. The 2nd day of use, I used a terrible Tupperware for my lunch and didn't lay it flat. Just tossed the little sucker in there. By the time I got to work, I saw that sauerkraut juice has spilled so badly everything inside was wet and it seeped through to the outside. (I'm eating a lot of ferments now, working on my insulin insensitivity). Gross and smelly! I removed my items, took the bag to the bathroom, washed it with liquid soap and water, let it sit by my desk, and by lunch, it was mostly dry and there were no stains.

This is a great bag for me. Fully recommend it!

Here are some photos of me wearing it over one shoulder, slung over head and across chest, and backpack style.

It is not overwhelming at all!

Dang it! I did it again! A bottle of kambucha leaked on my way to work. Once again, I ran it to the bathroom, and washed it with liquid hand soap and water.

Once again, the leather dried just fine by the end of the day.

I bought this bag for its usefulness and have no intentions to baby it. It’s a lunch/work/sling-it-around bag. I am super impressed with how the vachetta bounces back.
