Does anyone know absolutely anything about this bag?

Thank you!

They tried very hard with this collection, threw — almost — everything at it they had, but the whole endeavor failed miserably. The products they created while the program existed were truly amazing, but they couldn't struck a chord with the Kelly-thirsty clientele.

Thanks for the language to help me search tPF more successfully. There is much here that I am reading through.

The original owner was named Sun King? Ooff!

If they threw everything at it, am I correct to understand they were very good bags but with poor glazing, and basically if people wanted to spend that kind of money, they were more likely to go H. So a combination of absence of market and glazing issues lead to its failure?

Does LV reglaze? I don't think so.

FYI, I bought it for about $500. It has some wear. I am very curious to see it. I have 30 days to return. I'll be sure to look at the glazing.

I think it's taurillon leather, but am not certain.

It's not Taurrilon, most likely Veau Ecorce. They had a few unique calf options for this line.
Yes, the clients could choose to get their names stamped on the inner tab.
These bags are very fine, but they share the same era glazing as the infamous Empreinte generation, so yes, they can be tricky. In reality Vuitton can reglaze it, but with the Empreinte bags they almost never did, they just gave store credit. This is an interesting case for that, since this is a made-to-order piece and the owner has their name inside. I am not sure what is the Vuitton policy on these absolutely personal products.

Soooo…. I thought I should wrap up this conversation.

I was very excited about the bag, the shape, the leather, everything. And then it arrived.

Wow, was I wrong. It is just not a bag for me. Too big for a purse, too small for travel. Too peachy for my closet. It was just all wrong for me.

No harm done. I immediately got a quote from Fashionfile and they even offered me $200 more than what I paid for it.

I delivered the bag to Fashionfile, walked directly over to LV and handed in my Noe epi noir for a $200 repair.

Thanks for all the history and background. Sometimes your mind’s eye plays tricks in you. It wasn’t meant to be. But my Noe is going to be happy again!
