I returned a reverse monogram pochette metis I bought online within the 30 days frame. Was delivered to them in 7 days by UPS. It’s been past 14 days and I haven’t received any refund from them. I’ve been in contact with them and always saying that the package was received and to wait for 14 days for the full refund. Now that It‘s been past 14 days, CS told me that the item that they received in their workshop was not crafted within LV and that I have to send thr original item before thet can assist me further. I have been a LV customer for the longest time. This is the first time I’ve encountered. I’ve returned some products before and received the refund w/no problems. Accusing me of sending a bag that is not authentic. And I told them maybe you were the one who sent me a fake one in the first place or some of their employees, replaced it a counterfeit bag and stole the original bag that was shipped to them. I can’t believed this is happening to me. I will never ever buy again to louis vuitton.

This is terrible. Unfortunately there are untrustworthy people, and I’m sure there must be some working for LV. I would escalate this to their head office immediately - surely they should look at your purchase history and know you’re not at fault here. Failing that, I’d file a dispute with your card issuer and let them handle it. Good luck!

Oh wow. Now i am fearful that the bags i bought from the store may not be authentic. I'm not the type of person to inspect the bags if i bought it from the store 😭

I wouldn’t worry about this type of thing. Their authenticator(s) likely made an error. In all the years I’ve been active on PF, I’ve never heard of a single incident where someone received a fake bag from a boutique (anyone can correct me if I’m wrong on this). It’s an idea that just gets people panicked and talking.

OP, glad this was settled to your advantage and sorry it happened!

The same thing just happened to me. Order from The website and returned the bag, and was told it’s not authentic. Currently fighting them but no luck

All these chipped version LV bags might encounter similar issues, with date code it’s easier to verify it’s the bag you received and sent, chipped version not so easily to verify, if the chip demagnetized, then make it even more difficult to prove.

Hold onto your date coded bags, they will be easily authenticated if someday it needs to be.
