Hello,

I’m looking at getting s first purchase of LV and I’m looking through threads and noticing how people are saying about reduced quality. I’m planning to buy a Canvas wallet for the quality behind LV and worried about all this cracking and chipping Canvas only after a few months.

The wallets I’m looking at are:

Coin Key Holder
https://uk.louisvuitton.com/eng-gb/products/coin-card-holder-nvprod1420101v#M30271

Or the Enveloppe Carte De Visite
https://uk.louisvuitton.com/eng-gb/products/enveloppe-carte-de-visite-damier-graphite-nvprod180027v

I’m worried the second option would be less durable because of the fold, however I like both pieces, just that the first one is a little less thick and more expensive and I’m a student. I don’t want to get leather as to me I like the canvas patterns.

Thanks for your time

Louis Vuitton wallets are very durable, especially in coated canvas. Of course, like everything else in this world, they will ultimately show wear and tear.

I have used LV wallets for 20+ years and they have all lasted many years. I have never had a crack or anything like that. I think you’ll be happy with your purchase.

My boyfriend has the Gasper Wallet and I’ll say so far it’s holding up really well. He cares for it though by avoiding putting it in his back pocket and sitting on it, instead he’ll put in the front pocket or pockets in his coats during the colder weather.

The one on the right.

I recently got him this newly release money clip/card holder which is pretty nice in my opinion.

Ah thank you for posting. It too will be going in my front Jean/coat pocket. May I ask, are they recent purchases, as I hear that the new ones (last 5 years) seem to be of a lesser quality. Just want to compare other experiences really, just so I know I’m not buying something that needs repairing after a short time.

Lastly, out of the two I linked, of which do you prefer :)

Thank you

The Gasper wallet was purchased last year and the card holder/money clip one was literally purchased yesterday since it recently released not too long ago.

The Gasper wallet seems to be holding up well, no cracks, glazing is good and no complaints.

Looking at the two you posted here’s are my thoughts on pros and cons:
1) Coin Card Holder: I love anything that has this type of style because it can fit so much. Love the zipper compartment for easy access of cash and the card slots on the outside. However, not exactly sure how long the holder is so not sure if it’ll fit safely in your pants front pockets (jackets will probably fit fine). That’s my only concern.

2) Envelope Carte De Visite: I’m usually not a fan of these because I like my cards and money and cards separate from one another so that it can look more organized and I can easily see which card is what without digging through the cards to find what I need. However, this definitely can fit in your pockets with ease.

Both are nice in my opinion, but it’s up to you and what fits your life style and how you like to store your cards or cash. Can’t go wrong with either honestly! Whichever works best for you!

If I’ll have to choose I’ll pick the coin card holder because it’s so eye catching, but maybe try to see them in person and see which one fits best in your pockets and which one will work best for you.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Thank you for the detailed reply.

The only thing I worry about with the coin card holder is the thickness, I’ll have to look at a video/review on it and there’s a lesser amount of that wonderful canvas design.

I’ll take a look and may order both to send one back. Thanks again :)

If you get a chance let us know what you decide on [emoji4]

Think I’ll go for the Coin Card Holder in Monogram Éclipse, would be great if it had so more of that amazing styled Canvas on it like the Envelope but I both prefer the pattern and shape of the Coin Card Holder :)

Just got to wait a few months for stock haha

Hi friends, Hoping I can get some input from you.. I'm thinking of getting the LV Carte de Visite (in Damier Graphite) for the hubby for Father's day. Could someone let me know how many credit cards can it hold in the main pocket? He does not baby his wallet and it would be for everyday use, would this hold up its durability? He is currently using the Multiple Wallet in DG canvas also but the canvas ended up cracking after 2 years of use, which could not be repaired. :(.
