Lots of Reasons to Celebrate - Reveal!

My birthday was at the beginning of this month and I finally retired from my professional career just last Wednesday. I received a generous Amex gift card as a retirement gift and I've been carrying around a very nice Coach gift card ever since Christmas from my Dear Husband. I heard that some FP Delete (Reserve, Boutique) bags were showing up at the outlets so I decided that it was time to celebrate!

First I studied the bags on the Coach Outlet Online sale site but nothing was grabbing me so I drove to the Chicago Premium Outlet Mall in Aurora, IL and they had a large supply of deletes at 60% off. I would have preferred 70% off of course - but I was in the mood to shop! And I figured that if I found something that I liked and then the price drops, I can still get a price adjustment within 14 days. I actually bought 4 FP delete items at the outlet yesterday! But I am unsure about the accessory items so I may decide to return some of them, but like I said - I was in a mood to shop!

Here are my 2 bags for reveal, a big one and a small one; any guesses? I will give you a hint, they gave me a free Suede/Nubuck care kit for one of these items.

I will start with the small bag first. I really like this little bag but I am unsure about keeping it because it is flawed.

I am a sucker for coin purses and for kisslock bags and this little cutie has both! But it is missing the 1941 hangtag and it was the only one they had in stock. The SA tried to fix it by adding 2 hangtags in gold and chalk but I'm not sure, maybe I should wait and try and get one that is complete for a good price.

This is the Brass Chalk Flower Print Kisslock Coin Purse 79629 B4 PLF and it retailed for $150 but I got it for $60. What do you think, should I keep it or return it?

I love your teaser reveals! I'm sad that Coach is no longer making those suede kits themselves. The coin purse is adorable. I wouldn't feel too bad about it not having the hangtag since you got such a good deal!

Here is my new bag and there's no chance that I am going to return it because I am crazy about this beautiful purse! I saw it on the Factory Online Sale and I was attracted to it but hesitated because it is made of such delicate materials and light color - but then it sold out quickly online before I made up my mind. So when I saw it at the outlet with my own eyes for an even better price I had to have it! They had a lot of beautiful bags there but this was the only one that really got to me!

It is the Wave Dreamer 36 in Ivory leather and suede with brass hardware. It has pebbled leather and genuine snakeskin patchwork appliques and ivory suede side panels. The style number is 69656 B4 IO and it retailed for $695 but I paid $250.

It's not a practical bag but it seems to be a fitting, frivolous way to celebrate a new chapter in my life and it will be a lovely bag for Easter; but as soon as it gets warm I am taking this bag outside and spraying it with Apple Rain Garde protection!

Happy belated Birthday katev and congratulation on all the happy occasions I love the coin purse and I personally wouldn't mind the hangtag (1941 hangtag are special but I don't think it takes away much from the pretty pouch. I would mind a missing tag if I bought it at FP). Can't wait to see the rest of reveal

Here are the other 2 items that I bought and I am pretty sure that I will return them. I have considered the novelty straps before but never decided to buy one. They had a large selection of them at the outlet yesterday for $60 each (retail $150) and I bought 2 of them!

They are very nice and decorative but they're really long and I am a short person! I adjusted the scallop strap as short as possible and it is still very long on me. Plus I think I just prefer my bags with their original straps.

So here they are. I got the Scallop Rivet Leather Strap 76551 B4 P3P for $60 to wear with my new Wave Dreamer and I got the Heart Applique Novelty Strap 29542 BP CMB to wear with my Dark Denim Rogue. I think that the straps look nice with the bags, but I'm just not crazy about them and they are very long!

I was able to easily adjust the original strap on my Wave Dreamer to make it the perfect length for me.

Here are the Coach Ads for the Wave Dreamer 69656 B4 IO. I found it interesting that both the Sales Associate and the Manager told me that the snakeskin trim was embossed and not genuine. The Manager said "The bags we sell here aren't made of genuine exotic leathers." I didn't tell him that he was wrong, but I knew that the snakeskin trim is genuine as it says in the coach description.

That Dreamer is to die for! And such a steal for $250. Truly beautiful bag.

I'm not surprised the outlet SAs are misinformed. That's a gorgeous bag! Congratulations on your retirement. I've been tempted by the straps but I think they are probably too long for me. It's a shame because they are beautiful. One time they made a shorter strap but it was in a color I didn't want and it sold out quickly.

I read somewhere that most snakeskin used these days comes from a water snake.
