Lost bracelet, what to replace with?

Today I lost my 3-month old diamond RC Love in Verona bangle :( it fell off at the park and (of course) when I went back to look for it I couldn’t find it. I’m really upset by the quality of RC. The clasp has felt flimsy from the start so I can’t say I’m not surprised this happened.

At any rate it was insured (thank goodness). So now I’m left wondering if I should get another one as a direct replacement or get something else (leaning towards a Messika Move bangle, thoughts on those?).

Would you give RC another try or just move on to different brand? I’ve never had this happen before so just feel kinda lost at right now.

Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t have anywhere to try on Messika. I prefer to buy branded jewelry bc it has better resale value (I often get bored with things eventually and like the option to sell). The Bulgari Serpenti bracelet was next on my list but I’m not sure the insurance company will let me purchase from an exclusive brand instead of a general ‘jeweler’……we’ll see.

Understandable. I assumed insurance would have paid out replacement value and it was for you to use the money as you pleased. Are you forced to choose a 'like-for-like' or close to, replacement?

Also I'm assuming RC is Roberto Coin?

It’s a replacement plan but according to their website I can upgrade if I wish….but also notes something about not being able to use the funds at exclusive brands (I assume they’re referring to Cartier, Tiffany etc) unless the original item was from them. I’ll find out more tomorrow when I talk with them.
Yes RC = Roberto Coin. I’ve definitely decided I absolutely do not want another one of their bracelets. I have no faith in their clasp system now. Might go for a ring I guess 🤷‍♀️
