My mom is going to Italy and I’d like her to pickup a loro piana pocket bag IF the prices are better than US. Anyone purchased one from Italy recently? Also- any insights on buccaletti prices?

EU prices will be quite a bit lower on all things LP, particularly if you factor in US sales tax. I bought something this spring that's $8500 plus tax in the US, for 6700€ - however the exchange rate was a bit more favorable to the dollar at that time. (I always assume the tax refund is a wash just in case US customs charges full duty.)
You can check all the prices online on LP official website, just set Italy as your country (press on the tiny globe at the very bottom of the page). The same works for all other brands.
