Hi friends! The Loro Piana sample sale in NYC ends tomorrow 10/7. Anyone have any intell or feedback, especially on menswear? Wondering if I should take the afternoon off before it ends. TIA!

Hi! I just saw this. I'm a fan of LP. Did you go? How was it? I have read hit and miss stories about these samples sales, as in...
Good: Prices are very cheap (well, cheap relative to retail)
Bad: It's a lot of leftovers that no one wants, the classic pieces are never there, tons of people just grabbing stuff for the sake of buying something at a discount.

Any thoughts?

Hi! I ended up not going after all for reasons that included what you stated above

I wasn’t able to find out much info about the sample sale, so when thinking about inventory (or lack of), the potential crowds and then rescheduling my afternoon appointments, I talked myself out of going. I am still curious to hear if anyone went so maybe next time I could plan a bit more in advance to go.
