I wanted to post a buyer beware story about Lord & Taylor. I bought a Saint Laurent Kate bag from them last November and recently discovered that they sold me a fake/counterfit bag. If you have purchased from them or plan to do so, please do it with caution as they refuse to refund my money.
Yes someone also posted about purchasing a fake bag there. So sorry.

That's really a shame. Lord & Taylor was a venerable New York department store for almost two centuries. I have many fond memories of shopping there in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The brand was bought by an investment firm and they are tarnishing a once highly respected name, no surprise. I'm sorry you got caught up in it.

Yea, it makes me sad too. That was one of the main reasons I bought this purse from them due to their reputable name.

I'm very sorry for your issue with them. I hope you can do charge back with your credit card company.

I'm wondering if they are actually an authorized seller for high end brands that they are selling. I'm suspecting their source of supply is from third party suppliers like outlet stores such as TJ Maxx.

I only went there once long time ago, so my memory might not be correct, but I think they were like Macy's. They didn't sell high end brands. If they started to sell high end brands after their bankruptcy, I doubt about their source of supply.

Back in the day they were more upscale than Macy's. Their 5th Ave. store was a landmark and famous for their Christmas windows. In the 80s I worked further up 5th and frequented the store. I bought my first Coach bag there. It's a shame what happened to them.

I didn't know they were more upscale than Macy's. When I went their NYC store around 2000, I don't think they were carrying high end brands' bags. I didn't spend so much time at the store, so I might not look around enough to find them.

I think if the OP finds their customer service management level people, they can straighten it out for the OP. I didn't dig enough to find them, but there must be a way. I really hope the OP has find a way to resolve it.

I was last in the 5th Ave. store around 2015. It definitely had a more Macy's vibe then.

I used to work for a company subcontracted to them when they were owned by the May Company, I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, since they were bought out by the Macys group they’ve gone right down the pan.
