I purchased an antique pin with a beautiful high .25ct antique cushion diamond years ago. This little diamond is absolutely gorgeous. Problem is, I don't wear pins.
So it's been sitting in my jewelry box for years. There are two projects I've been contemplating for a while now.
1. I've always wanted a "i love ny" necklace. Am thinking of having one made in 18kt RG and incorporating the diamond in a bezel on the chain, to the side of the "I". Like the pic below where the black dot is.
2. Someone on another forum posted a pic of her bracelet years ago. I don't wear bracelets but fell in love with hers. Am thinking of doing something similar for a necklace in either RG or Platinum. It would have a double chain attached like hers, but I would purchase a smaller asscher diamond to go in the box, then use the cushion for a bail, but mine would be a flat burnished disc with the cushion embedded, or something similar.

Anyone have any other ideas?

The bracelet. I would use an asscher in place of the round, and the cushion to embed on a burnished disc bail.

I love the bracelet too. Just feel it's too pretty for my style, I'm more modern/contemporary. But if it's done in platinum, and as a necklace, maybe it can be made to look more modern?

Do do you guys think the bracelet would look good in platinum as a necklace?

I think the double chain & other details would look great as a necklace. If this style of chain is too girly or not modern enough maybe you could have it redesigned with a more modern looking link, but I love the overall design of it!
