Looking for the perfect leopard bag!

I have wanted a leopard bag for a loooonngggg time but have yet to find one that I love. I won't be getting one anytime soon but I want to research and plan. I love a big bag, hobo or tote style. What do you ladies think are the best leopard print bags? :smile:

Check out Michael Kors website. He has two tote styles with the print that I think are really nice. I may have also seen them on Bloomingdales, or Saks, or Niemans site. Also check out Tory Burch. Sorry I can't get you pictures, I'm computer challenged. Good luck!

What's your budget? And do you want traditional leopard print colors, or something a bit funkier? Do you want something hairy (:P), or would a leopard print suffice? Any preference as to color of hardware?

I am happy to help you look - I adore leopard print bags myself!!

Hi! Thanks for your help. I am thinking the budget will be less than 500.00. I will not be buying this for a long time but will be hinting to DH once I find the one! ;) I like funky and traditional but bigger is better! Hairy would be ok but not super hairy. Haha. I am not too picky about hardware. Thanks again!

I couldn't find any on the MK site.

And I agree that Betsey Johnson is a good place to start (her regular line, not the Betseyville line) - I actually like several of her bags, they are just what you are describing - funky, but with some traditional shapes.

Dooney & Bourke had a whole line of leopard/leather bags in various styles. Don't think they have any on their web site at present but you can find a whole bunch on ebay by searching for "leopard Dooney." Dooney's leather tends to be very nice and they don't cost a grand.

Mulberry has also done their classic Bayswater in a number of different leopard styles and colors. Here, at the very high end, is one:

You can find modeling photos of the other leopard Bays in the Mulberry forum. They did a brown leopard, a blue, a silvery, and a fuschia. The brown is very pretty and there are lots of modeling photos of that. I think they retailed for about $1K.

I wouldn't want to rush you as you said you wouldn't be getting a bag for a while, but leopard print is the type of thing that goes out of style and gets taken off of shelves much quicker than other designs. So, if you see one you like, I suggest you buy it ASAP.

Thanks so much! I checked out the Dooneys and they are cute but the shapes aren't what I am looking for. I love the Mulberrys but DH won't pay that much for a bag. :sad: I would but I am hoping he buys it for me. ;)

That Betsey Johnson is perfect! I love it. I like the RM bag too but really want the traditional brown print.
