Hello! I'm looking for suggestions for a new purse. I'd like to stay under $500 USD, but I could double or triple that if I fall in love. I'm located in southern California.

- Small to medium size (10-12" wide)
- Shoulder bag, tote, hobo. No satchels or cross body.
- Some organization. Prefer an easily accessible spot for my phone on the outside, and interior zip and slip pockets.
- Must have some kind of closure, can't be totally open.
- Light coloured leather - blush would be best, could be grey, cream or light beige. Prefer non-black inside.
- Feminine, classic, clean lines.
- I usually like softer, less structures bags, but could be structured if it's not too stiff to open and reach into comfortably.
- Not too heavy, ideally around 1.5 lb like my current MK Raven.

To give a few ideas of my taste, my current bag that I love is the MK Raven medium shoulder bag. I've been carrying it for several years and I love it, though I don't really need all three sections, I could do with two. I have it in black and I don't feel the need to replace it, that's why I'm looking for a light colour for my next one. It's like this except smaller, I don't think they make the medium anymore https://www.michaelkors.com/raven-large-leather-shoulder-bag/_/R-US_30H6GRXE3L
I have an older MK Jet Set chain shoulder bag in red that's very similar except for the straps, but I prefer the Raven. Many many years ago I had an MK Erin hobo in black and I completely wore it out but it was such a good bag.

A few others that I like but are too large:
Kate Spade Henderson Maryanne - I love this one but I guess it's an older style and I'm not willing to pay that much for an Amazon seller. They have the larger version at my Nordstrom Rack, but not the small one unfortunately. https://www.amazon.com/spade-Henderson-Street-Small-Maryanne/dp/B01I3FK274
I also saw an older KS Jackson medium tote at Norstom Rack, but they only had it in black. Otherwise I liked it. https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/...-new-york-jackson-medium-tote-bag?color=BLACK
Marc Jacobs Editor tote. Too large https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/the-marc-jacobs-the-editor-leather-tote/4712315/lite
Michael Kors Lexington, I like the look of it but it's too stiff to open and I don't like having to unzip it every time I need my phone. https://www.michaelkors.com/lexingt...her-shoulder-bag/_/R-US_30T9GNDL2L?color=1663
Cuyana Zippered Satchel. Too large. https://www.cuyana.com/zippered-satchel.html#stone
Radley Millbank. Doesn't come in light colour. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/radley-london-millbank-leather-tote?ID=7269893
Kate Spade Louise tote. Too large https://www.katespade.com/products/louise-medium-tote/PXRUB264.html

I just ordered this Kate Spade Polly, but I'm not sure I will like it, it might be a bit too square and large, and it could use some more inside pockets. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/kate-spade-new-york-polly-shoulder-bag?ID=10494506
I also have my eye on the KS Kailee, I like the look of it but based on a similar style I saw in store today I think it might be too square and wide with not enough drop. https://www.katespade.com/products/kailee-medium-double-compartment-shoulder/767883570340.html

I'm open to more expensive brands, I'm just not familiar with too many. I'm ok ordering online as long as returns are free.

Please please show me some pretty options from brands that I'm not familiar with!

Look no further than Furla. It's an Italian heritage brand.great quality and nice designs for amazing prices..
Small Perla Hobo is one example.

Thank you for that! I do like Furla in general. The one you linked sure is pretty, but not roomy enough for everyday with the narrow depth and small opening. The larger version might be better, but the lack of inside pockets is a dealbreaker.

Actually this one is a possibility, the straps are adjustable to wear on the shoulder. I'm not too pleased with the sparse interior pockets, but I might try to check it out in person next time I'm in LA.

I never said I wasn't picky :P

There are several bags on sale at the Furla website, incl. bucket bags which Furla does extremely well. Worth checking out. (I just made an order for a wallet in the Little Twin Stars collection. This has nothing to do with the thread itself, just wanted to mention.)
