Hi ladies and gents!

So I've been looking at the Balenciaga Town because it seems to have everything I need
- Cross-body and top handle
- leather
- around 13 inches/34cm in width (fits a kindle paperwhite)
- soft enough that it looks casual and can expand when i stuff things in
- structured enough so it doesn't collapse and i can easily put things in and dig things out
- top zip so that i can open and close it quickly and easily drop my phone in when the metro/subway door opens while I'm busy adding comments on the tpf or browsing handbags

The only issue here is that I already have two Bal motos (city and mini city) so I was thinking about getting something else for a change. I also have an RM full-size mac, but it's too structured and i can't really shove too many things in there.

Any suggestions you guys can think of?

Doesn't have to be premier designers - I'm happy with contemporary.
Leather is a must just cuz. :)

I just found the small nightingale seems to fit into what my criteria is. The top handle doesnt fold down though and it's not as interesting looking as the town...but i suppose that was the whole point is to get something slightly different...gah!

Have you looked at RM Regan satchel? It comes in leather or suede and fits your criteria. The design also looks to be 'inspired' by Bal motos 😉

Another possibility is Gucci soho top handle bag. It tapers down at the bottom though, so it's a bit smaller there and might be a bit too structured for you. Gucci is having a 40% off private sale for the dusty rose and dark yellow colors of the bag:

The RMs are actually a really good idea. I think I'm not crazy about totes in general and both the regan and soho might be too "tote-y" for me.

I went to the store to look at the Bal Town in person, as well as the givenchy nightingale in person. The Town has the same zipper as the the rest of the moto bags, which is not easy to zip quickly, and the nightingale's strap is not long enough for me to wear cross-body (I'm only 5'3")

My hunt is still on - and starting with RM bags.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did go look at the pandora when i was checking out the nightingale and im just not drawn to its look.

I'm now looking at the small coach borough turnlock. I haven't looked at anything coach for almost 10 years now and this is the first time i feel drawn to something there!
