Hello!

I hope everyone is healthy, safe and happy!

I was recently gifted a second Love bracelet from my mom - plain WG - she originally gifted me her YG and now the WG (I purchased myself a 4 diamond YG one recently too) but anyway I am loving the mixed metal look and want to throw in one more love ring in WG to balance things out and to also wear it when I wear WG jewelry only (I have WG VCA perlee signature bracelet, VCA WG/MOP vintage Alhambra ring and my solitaire).

As you will see, I already have a WG love band with 1 diamond which I purchased 10 years ago (2nd hand) and to my ignorance, had a jeweler polish it for me and came out with round edges.. I used to wear it and not care but now it really bothers me and I just hate how it looks because I love the crisp edges on all Love items.

I added photos of my usual right hand rings and my left hand rings as well as photos of where I plan to add the WG love ring (it will replace my damaged band in the photos).

I am now torn between:

1- Sell the used one, repurchase the same ring.

2- Buy a plain WG band (it’ll match my plain WG tone perfectly), consult with Cartier if they can “reproduce” my band - this service costs 60% of retail according to the website.

3- Buy the plain one now, decide later on when I get the WG 4 diamond love bracelet (plan to get it in the next couple of years) whether I want to add the band with 1 diamond or the ring with 3 diamonds and then sell my damaged band.

Some things to consider:
- I bought the band with 1 ring 10 years ago used so the price wasn’t bad but I don’t have a certificate or receipt.
- I am really loving the idea of having a plain WG band to match my WG bracelet so option 1 isn’t really an option for me but I threw it there anyway to get some sane opinions lol
- I’d be more than happy to end up with 2 WG rings: plain to match my plain bracelet and one with diamonds (thin or thick but thinking thin as it’s nicer for stacking?) to match my future bracelet.

I hope I’m making sense!

I apologize for the super long and probably confusing post.. I’ll be more than happy and appreciative to hear your thoughts and explain my thoughts further

I also added a poll!

Thank you in advance!

Another dilemma is where would the WG ring be stacked best? Ring finger on right or left hands or index finger together with the thin YG band? Because the size would vary..

I’m torn between getting a ring finger size for the plain and alternate with the diamond one in the future (ring finger size as well) or get the plain one a bigger size for the index finger to have variety .. so torn lol and probably overthinking like usual..

I ended up repurchasing the same ring and will sell mine. I figured I don’t need both the diamond and the plain now. Cartier offered reproduction (for 70% of retail!) so I thought that I’d better just buy a new one

Congratulations! That is what I would have done too.

Thank you! I’m happy with my decision just a bit devastated for not pulling the trigger on the WG Love bracelet with 4 diamonds .. the 6% increase isn’t nice at all.. lol
Oh that is terrible! Is that a bracelet you really wanted 100%? Maybe it’s better that you can take your time to decide what else to add to your stack. I have been guilty of buying jewelry to beat an increase only to end up not loving it or returning it and buying something else with the new higher prices. So I definitely feel your pain there. Or even worse, buying a lot only to have the prices decreased in the future.

I have the YG with 4 diamonds and been wanting to add the WG but I was not sure until I started stacking my 2 plain YG and WG ones daily and found it to be very comfortable so I know now that I want it

That sounds lovely! Are you planning to wear all of them together or as separate stacks?

As a separate stack (2 each time +/- my regular size JUC) it helps that I can slip them off my hand, no unscrewing needed
That’s convenient! How big are your Loves compared to your wrist measurement? Are they really loose? Or do you just have really small and flexible hands?

My wrist is 16-16.5 and my loves are 18. They are not too loose on my arm, I guess my small hand bones is the reason
