Whenever I look at women who's style I admire, I see that they wear one piece of signature jewellery. I want mine to be a necklace. I am struggling to find the right piece.

my questions are: I mostly own silver or white gold jewellery because of my cool skin tone. My watch is silver. So I guess it has to be silver? I am also eyeing rose-gold, but will I wear this forever?

I had a small return to Tiffany Pendant I wore all the time. I feel like I'm too old for hearts.

The chain shouldn't be too delicate, I like statement-y pieces.

So I ended up on the following:
Tiffany hardwear necklace (very expensive for silver in my opinion...)

Georg Jensen Offspring Necklace (but I don't have kids, the symbol stands for kids the say)

Or the Pandora infinity necklace

what would be your opinions?

thank you!

A signature piece to me means something that's worn almost daily. I don't think either of these can be worn every day with everything. But yea, I agree with you that either would make a great statement piece

Out of the two pictured, I like the Georg Jensen Offspring best.

I'm not a fan of Tiffany silver, and only own one piece (not jewelry) so would never recommend.

I think you’re best to stick with white gold...it goes with your skin tone and watch, and is classic. I do love silver, but every silver necklace I’ve ever had (including Tiffany and Pandora) had problems with tarnishing.
I understand gold will cost more but if this is a piece you want to wear for years, gold is a better idea. It’s more durable and won’t tarnish.

I think a larger/statement pendant on a chain would be great. You can ensure the chain is solid and not delicate but the focus is on the pendant. Kinda like the Pandora above (which I prefer of the two above but I can’t recommend Pandora anymore as the recent items I’ve bought from them have been garbage). Or go for a thicker rope or herringbone chain. Thick herringbone is SO gorgeous but is very easy to kink, so not for 24/7 wear, but if you’re going to put it on/off everyday it would be a beautiful signature piece!

Ah - so there is a difference between statement and signature, maybe I was thinking in the wrong direction. I definitetly was looking for something for everyday. Is there something you would recommend stylewise?

Great advise, the herringbone looks very elegant. When I was looking for whitegold thicker necklaces I couldn't find anything. Most necklaces are very delicate. Would you recommend any resources where to find good jewellery?

Thank you for your great opinions, I feel like I'm narrowing down my ideas.

I’ve never ordered from them, but I know some tPFers have been pleased with their purchases from zoelev.com. She makes chunky chains, some with pendants, in gold. Her herringbone is only in yellow but this one comes in white and would be a gorgeous signature look too:

Another cool option might be marlaaaron.com. She makes carabiners and chains in all kinds of sizes and styles. There is a thread going for her here in the jewelry forums.

Also check out Jennifer Fisher. I just ordered this pendant. I have a long link chain of hers with a few charms and have been happy with the quality.
