Looking for multi strand chain&pearl necklace

I have the Ann Taylor multi strand necklace and at $78.00, it wasn't cheap. I was in LOVE with this necklace. I used to wear it two to three times a week and I would get compliments every time however it started to tarnish horribly and give off this terrible iron/metal smell.

I love the style but I am looking for something that won't tarnish so easily. Any suggestions? For reference, here is the necklace I am speaking of.

I would look on eBay for vintage multi-strand necklaces. Or on Etsy.

You might have the problem with any costume jewelry smelling like metal after a while. See if you can find something that is rhodium plated over the base metal.

You should consider purchasing a set of pearls from a jewellers.
