Hi!

I have a YSL toy puffer in the crema white color and it has been showing corner wear and scuffing since a couple weeks of regular use. I still love the toy puffer style but I want to get a purse I can use daily without getting worn out quickly. My criteria is:

* under 3k
* chain strap
*small to medium size - can transition from day to night easily
* some type of zip compartment or flap closure

I love white and lighter colors, but I'll go for a darker shade if it will be more durable.

I know it’s similar to your toy puffer, but what about a small LouLou? I have one in black w/SHW, and it’s a great bag. It holds my essentials, and transitions easily from day to evening use. It’s right under the $3000 mark, but tax will obviously take you a little bit above.

Other good options would be the Sunset or the Envelope, which are both much more structured, no rounded edges, etc. The Sunset is a big heavy, so I’d definitely try things on in-store, if possible.

Hopefully with the upcoming holiday discounts, you’ll be able to snag a great bag that fits your criteria!

Seconding everything you wrote - one vote each for the small Loulou and the original Sunset. I don't own the Envelope though as I prefer my bags to rest upright on tables / chairs.

I would also recommend the Kate in the medium size. It can be dressed down if you get it in the silver hardware but you can't go wrong in the SHW, GHW or the stunning black on black!

Wow I was ready with suggestions until I got to the more durable part. With the exception of the small Loulou, all my picks are lambskin. The Jamie and the Calypso could easily transition from day to night. I don't own the bags so I couldn't comment on the wear.

Have you thought of the Lou camera bag? I bought mine recently for $1690, so it's definitely under 3k. I think it's a great everyday bag for weekeends, running errands or even work (if you pack lightly for work). It also transitions from day to night easily, IMHO.

i agree with the Loulou suggestion. I’ve had mine for 3 years and it still looks great. I can’t even find any evidence of wear and tear.

I also have the Niki and that bag is great for everyday. I’ve had it a year and still looks the same.
