Looking for an etoupe birkin - any advice??

Hoping you gals can help me. I'm the proud owner of 2 birkins i bought both as a walk in at FSH . One gold 35 cm palladium and one black 35 cm both in togo. I bought both on seperate trips to Paris FSH from the same SA. I've had my heart set on an etoupe 35cm birkin in togo or clemence for quite some time and was planning a visit to Paris this past month. Was very hopefully i'd be successful in purchasing the etoupe but unfortunately came back empty handed. I think the fact that my trip coincided with fashion week in Paris hurt my chances but the sa put an order in for me i guess this is the same thing as being on the waitlist? Anyway, they told me it would take 5-6 months. Is this worth waiting for? Will i really get that miraculous phone call in a few mohths? Or should i look eslewhere? Please any advice on scoring my baby ASAP? Or any sightings? FYI I live in Los angeles.

lovely collection and i think etoupe will be a great addition to the classic birkins you own. it's definitely worth the wait IMO. I get compliments on etoupe everywhere I go.
I have never seen this anywhere on the shelf before so your best bet is probably the FSH which has the greatest supply of Birkins. Or I heard Wall Street store has been getting birkins quite frequently too.

I will likely not bid, unless our tax situation turns out better than anticipated. Hermes** is well regarded - I wouldn't even suggest this if it was just a random person. And no, I am not Hermes, but we have exchanged emails a few times and I have found her to be flexible and responsive. And she won't freak out over a reasonable best offer either... Good luck

Hearing how successful youve been in Paris makes me think i should make a trip! If they've made an order for you, wait the 5 to 6 months thats not long... :nogood:

Hello,

I saw to etoupes togo Brikins in Belgium in December:

1 35 cm in Hermes Knokke
1 40 cm in Hermes Brussels

You could try to call them (see phone numbers on the official websites) 'cause the SA's seemed to be quite excited by this new color.
+ it's one hour train from Paris...

Thanks for the heads up Annayu - Unfortunately, the one on eBay now is fake... The experts on "authenticate this" say the seller is bad news, so I'm taking their advice!!

Hi Gifter,

I have been looking for a 35 Etoupe Birkin too. For some reason this color has been hard to come by. If you have a SA, I suggest y ou just keep inquiring. I kept bugging my SA and he finally promised me one by my birthday in April. I hope he comes through. Will let you know.

Not sure where you are hermeshunter, but the JPG Birkin does not need to be ordered during podium. At least that's how it works in London. My SA took my name down and checked it against the list for what she was receiving for the season. I got called back about the etoupe JPG birkin a couple months later. However, I did not end up taking it.

Thanks alo6! I will be in London in 2 weeks and will try there. I am in NY next week and will try Wall St and Madison as well. I wish I knew you when you decided not to take it... I'd have run right over!!

BTW, this all happened at the Bond St store. They basically take your name down for anything other than a birkin or kelly i think. They have a list of confirmed orders so the know everything they are getting for the season. I would try to speak with the manager there. Fingers crossed for you!
