So I am inteterested in a Burberry bag. I was hoping to find something I can use as a tote or also a diaper bag. (expecting in a few months)
The selection is pretty poor near me...I have an hour to 2 hour drive to even a Saks, which is not a very good one, might I add.
Wondering what style bag you recommend(I know i want a nice big check bag and it needs to fit over the shoulder).
Also wondering if there is anyplace where I might find a good price(lower than retail) on an authentic bag online? Obviously ebay, but I have the usual concerns about ebay. Don't have a lot of Burberry experience but have wanted one forever. It's going to be my treat to myself for becoming a mom:nuts:
Thanks!

If you want to buy regular priced Burberry your best bet is Burberry's online store, Nordstroms, Saks, or NM. I love Nordstrom's return policy so I would get it there.
If you want it discounted try the outlets, they have amazing deals. Look up outlets in your area, It might be a drive but it could be worth it (especially if you say the drive to the closest SAKS is 2 hours, I highly doubt the outlets would be much further). Look for outlets that have a Burberry outlet store, NM last call store, or Off 5th. They all have nice bags for sale usually, or just use eBay and authenticate the bag at the forum. Addy and many of the members on the "authenticate this.." thread are very knowledgeable. Good luck :)

Thanks ladies...yes, the outlets are pretty far away from me. Anyone have any idea how much I might save by looking there?
It would be a question of whether it was worth the drive or not.
I saw the "diaper bag" style, but wasn't totally thrilled with it. I think the messenger bag makes more sense when dealing with the baby, but on the other hand, I was kind of hoping to find something I could use beyond toting diapers around...LOL.
Actually, that Beat Check tote is pretty cool. I hadn't considered the black before but I kind of like the fact that it is "different" from the normal plaid.
Ah, decisions....

Wha???!!!:nuts::nuts::nuts:
You must be kidding! I was just there(a week ago?) looking at the Saks in town and was totally let down! I had no IDEA there was a Burberry there, now!!!:yahoo:
Oh geeeeeezzz...my sister lives about 5 minutes from Easton. I have a feeling my next visit to her house could end up being expensive:graucho:

And as far as the outlets go....oh how I wish there was one even within 2 hours of me. I would make the drive to save half. The Burberry outlet in Orlando (where I used to live) never had much when I was in there. In fact, I can honestly say I don't think they ever had one bag. Mostly just clothes, ties and jackets.(not bad, but not my thing, since I am a bag addict first)

I think you would like these designs:

Burberry - NEW CHECK PLEAT TOTE BAG

Burberry - NOVA CHECK TOTE WITH PURSE

Have a nice time shopping your first Burberry bag. ;)
Yep, the one on the bottom is the one I tried in the store. It is nice and big and open, and I like the little purse being attached for stashing some cash, cards, etc. I really like the one on top but am not sure I should be spending so much because, of course, I have a lot of things I still need to buy for the baby, yet;) Trying to contain my enthusiasm for buying until I have the room done and paid for, and everything in place. Probably will be a month or so before I can commit, but I will get you all an update on what I pick!
I am going back and forth between that tote and the actual diaper bags they have out. The one with the strap over the top seems like it might be nice, but I would like to see one in person first. I will have to see if I can hunt one down to take a look at that isn't too far away. Never tough to come up with an excuse for a shopping road trip!LOL
